Netmechwife: How is it going with your ds??

I thought about the original potty training thread the other night when I had to get my dd out of bed for the second time, 45 min after she originally went to bed, to go to the potty. LOL I guess you have to be careful what you wish for! I decided to just jump in and put her in training pants all her waking hours, diapers at nap and night, but even if she's in bed, I can't very well tell her she can't go to the potty! I guess this is the beginning of ruses to get out of bed!!

Well, keep us in your thoughts, we have a 14 hour drive to Wichita for Thanksgiving - should be interesting!

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

I feel like giving up. I know maybe I'm just not consistent enough with it... I am pregnant right now and exhausted as well as having problems with the pregnancy. It seems like I can't keep up... He shows interest occasionally but most days doesn't even think about it or tells me no when I ask him. I wish I could remember the original post. I will look it up later to get a brush up on advice...

Well, congratulations!! When are you due? I missed it if you told us you were expecting. The California trip must be off, then! (You were going there in Dec, right? I was the one with the advice for what to see in the Bay Area.)

Good luck with the new baby and the ongoing potty training. I hate to tell you that one of my friends just told me how awful it was to have a newborn and a 2yr old potty training. She said every time she'd get the baby latched on, the 2 yr old would need her to help!! Hopefully you'll be done by then. I don't think it's ever easy. I've given up until after the holidays. I may have to just stay home for a couple of weeks and see if that helps.

Hi Karen:)

Yes my trip is postponed until the baby is weaned... I am due July 5. Sam will actually be 3 in May. Hopefully he will be trained by then. I am dissapointed about having to wait so long for my surgery but I know things will work out in God's timing... The good news is my flyer miles I have been collecting from cereal boxes will still be good when I go. They are good up to 3 years.
