The:tinysmile :tinysmile :tinysmile are gaining weight and growing stonger every day.
MacKenna - origianl 2 lb. 8 oz. now 2 lb. 12oz.
Megan - original 2 lb. 6 oz. now 2 lb. 10 oz.
Mitchell - original 1 lb. 9 oz. now 1 lb. 13oz.

Once they reach 3 lbs they will move them from NICU to the regular nursery. They still have their daily together time and are doing well. Mitchell had another slight seizure but seems to be doing ok otherwise. I got to hold him for a few minutes today (wires, tubes and all) He is so tiny. I think even in clothes for a cabbage patch doll he would drown. My cousin's son was even a bit smaller than Mitchell when he was born and he is now wellover 6' tall, so it gives us hope.

We'll keep you updated.

We sure do. Those few ounces really are remarkable gains. I can just picture them in my mind. Our children's hospital here is amazing. We have 2 teachers with miracle babies due to the great dotors and facilities available here. I will continue to hold you all up in my prayers.

That is WONDERFUL news! I'm so glad to hear that they are gaining and doing well. My sister in-law's little one was only 1-1/2 pounds when he was born and you should see him NOW... he's bigger than his older brother is. LOL

Thanks for the continued updates... I really enjoy hearing about them!

Diane...

I can't go see the :tinysmile :tinysmile :tinysmile today. :( I have somehow caught a bit of a cold and can't risk passing it on to them. DH is going to be there with them though.

Marla ~ I am feeling pretty good, other than this cold. I still get tired easily and a little sore but not too bad. Because the babies decided to show up earlier than my c-section was sceduled they arrived the good old fashioned way. They were standing by incase we still had to do the alternate but they managed ok. It was only after ds was almost out that he started getting distressed but they were able to get him out quick enough to avoid any major problem.
Emotionally I am just very mixed up. I'm happy/depressed/excited/worried/anxious - you name it, that's me. I don't know if it is hormones, stress, a combo of both or what but I have a lot of support from my family and friends so I am getting by. Today's feeling "frustration" I feel I should be at the hosp. but can't be. I feel that my other two are not getting the attention they need with dh and I being at the hospital so much. But what can I do, I feel guilty when I'm not there too. I will take advantage of being home today and spend it with dd and ds. They are with thier uncle and ds hockey practice right now but should be home by noon. Then we can spend the day together. Any ideas how to make it special????

Mary L. ~ All three have hair. Both girls have very thick dark brown hair and big brown eyes. They are not identical, but very close from what we can see right now. Mitchell had a fair bit of hair but a lot of it has fallen out (likely from medication). His hair is a lighter brown but has the same big brown eyes.

{{{Ryleigh}}} Hope you're hanging in there ~ I am sure you are going thru a wide range of emotions on a daily basis and I can't imagine what it's like for you. I love hearing about your little ones and if it helps you to tell us about them when you can't be with them - do tell as much and as often as you want! :) Hope you are feeling better soon and can get in there to see them soon! I bet your two older dks loved having you home this wknd - sounds like you had fun with them! Hang in there!!
