Does anyone have crafts ideas (Christmas-related or not) using tissue box, egg cartons, and styrofoam dishes? All ideas will be appreciated. Thanks for your help.

I couldn't find any Christmas ones but if I do I'll post them later. Hope this helps a little... :)

This project is rated VERY EASY to do.
What You Need

· Black paint
· Paint brush
· Egg carton
· Scissors
· Awl or small phillips head screwdriver
· Black chenille stems
· Wire cutters
· Wiggle eyes
· Glue

How To Make It

Note: Precut the carton and prepare the holes ahead of time for classroom use.
Cut the egg carton apart into little cups/sections.
Using the awl or screwdriver make 8 holes in the bottom edge of each section for the legs.
Paint the egg carton section with black paint. Let dry.
Cut the chenille stems in half.
Push the chenille stem in one side of the section and out the opposite side. Bend down the legs.
Repeat for each of the legs.
Glue on wiggle eyes.

Egg Carton Bird Feeder:

What you need:
· Egg carton
· String
· Birdseed

What to do:
Remove the lid and save for another use ( to hold paints like a palate for example).
Fill the carton sections with birdseed.
Poke holes in the 4 corners of the carton and attach a string to each. Then gather the strings together at the center, knot, and hang the feeder outside.

Egg Carton Christmas Tree...

Materials Needed

12"X18" sheet of heavy paper such as poster board.
Paint
Egg cartons
Glue & tape or staples

Directions
Cut a large half-circle from a 12"X18" sheet of paper.
Form a cone from this half-circle.
Tape or staple together so it keeps it's cone shape.
Glue egg-carton cups to the cone close together so they cover the entire cone.
Paint with poster paint, or spray with spray paint.
Decorate with glitter, sequins, or beads can be glued to the tree.
Very small ornaments may be added also.

Egg Carton Christmas Bells...

You will need:
· Old egg cartons
· Scissors
· Yarn or string
· Small bells
· Elmer's glue
· Glitter
· Paint

Cut the egg carton into separate cups. With the point of the scissors or a sharp pencil, poke a hole in the bottom of each cup.
Decorate each cup however you like. Mix glitter into your paints for an quick colorful sparkle effect.
Cut a piece of string or yarn about 6 inches long. Tie a small bell onto one end. Tie a small knot in the string about 1 inch above the bell. Thread the string through the hole in the egg cup. Pull it all the way through till the knot hits the inside of the cup.
To hang from the tree, you can tie a loop in the rest of the string, or you can tie/attach it to to a regular Christmas decoration hook.
For a pretty door decoration, tie several bells to the bottom of a hanger. Decorate the rest of the hanger with ribbon or evergreen swags. Hang from a door to hear jingle bells every time the door opens!

Egg Carton Candy/Nut dish:

Egg carton (I used white Styrofoam it looks prettier
2 -2inch Styrofoam balls
4 ribbon roses
1 &1/2 yds Flat ribbon or I had flat ribbon with lace on both sides
1 &1/2 yds Lace
Glue
Greens (3 for .99 cents as picks
Ready:.....

Clean your egg cartoon with hot water and soap. Dry off.
Start on the sides of the egg cartoon and glue the ribbon with lace on both sides , all the way around. If your using ribbon and lace, you will need to glue the lace on both sides of the ribbon on the back side. Glue this with hot glue for a fast product.
Take the 2 balls and cut each of them in half. Now you have 4 half balls. Now take each ball and slice off a small part of each rounded end. Hot glue these on the ribbon lace for tires. Make sure they are upright so your new tires won't snap off with the weight of the nuts.
Glue the ribbon roses on for tire rims. Note... Use bigger roses than I have.
Now take your greens and pull them apart, so you will have smaller parts to work with. Starting at one end, glue on the stem over lapping each other as you go around. And down the center of the carton

Tip:........
As I make a craft, I always think of other ways of perfecting the craft. So here's what else I would have done with this project. I would have put a Santa or a snowman at the front with maybe a steering wheel made out of black fun foam in his hands. And also I might of put a 3 loop on each side bow, at the back of the bus. Enjoy !!!

I have made many caterpillars out of egg cartons. That would go well with reading THE HUNGRY CATERPILLAR.
Another idea I just had that I may try as well is to cut out the egg crates so that you have just 1 holder, paint in Christmasy colors, and then if desired have the children use glitter, stickers, feathers, sequins etc. (whatever is available) to decorate. Attach a pipe cleaner loop for a handle and on the inside put a string or another pipe cleaner that can hold a jingle bell. This could be like a classroom bell or can be used as a tree decoration.

The styrofoam meat trays are very good to put paint in and is flat so sponge painting out of the styrofoam trays works well. OR you (the teacher) could use an exacto knife to cut shapes or designs (possibly related to your theme) and use them as prints that the kids could put paint on and make pictures. Or just as plain alternative stencils that the kids could use to make pictures.
