Well, they told him that the cancer is centralized, which means they came probably remove it without a colostomy (the bag) which was what BIL was most concerned about...they also found some spots on his liver, but will follow that up later....now he needs to get his blood work done for surgery...probably in a week...so that's good news....he also probably won't need too much radiation...no chimo...so far....the silly thing is, while he was scared he started to ask me about not smoking anymore and how I liked the patch...really thinking about quiting...then when he got this new information that he won't need a bag...he is smoking like a chimeny...no signs of quiting now...LOL..too funny...I am just grateful that he should be ok....:D thanks for all your prayers...keep them coming until his surgery...which we still don't have a date on....

thanks again...:tinysmile

So glad they think they can get it without doing the colostomy!! :yippee: Hope all goes well for him! Maybe once he relaxes and knows more he will decide to quit smoking! DO keep us updated on everything!!!

He should take what's happened to him as a warning... and stop smoking. 8o My dad had quit smoking several times throughout his life but it wasn't until he found out that he had cancer that he decided to REALLY quit... a little too late I'm afraid. 8o I hope your BIL opens his eyes and quits... he may not be so lucky the next time. :(

funny, when I had that cyst on my neck..it scared me to death...I quit immeadiately for good....he also has spots on his liver...hello...I would stop drinking too...but hey...you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink...I am just glad things are going to be alright....I think....

keep praying...that he sees the light....on both problems...

Sounds like these are going relatively okay.

Why can't people see that smoking is definately a bad thing?????
