I've been visiting this site for some time (before the message board switch) and have already received some great advice in answer to my questions and learned a lot. I think it's great that people from all over can share ideas and thoughts so easily and find so much in common.

I have a 21 month old dd and we moved from California to northeastern ND about 7 months ago. So far, we love it here.

RCT...I saw the pics of your house. I wanted to see who had more snow than we do! It really is beautiful! In California, we lived in Santa Clara, right in the heart of Silicon Valley. We'd been there 10+ years and had really seen the place change (i.e., major congestion, out of control housing costs). Dh is from the midwest, so he was thrilled to move out of all that! I left family and friends and that was the only hard thing for me.
