Do you wear high heels?

I don't normally wear very high heels. I am 5'8" already and even though dh is 6'1", I just feel very tall in them. I do like chunky shoes though, and sometimes they have a kind of hidden heel with the thicker soles. However, I bought this beautiful black silk pantsuit for dh's party on sat night and I found perfect little black slides with about a 2 1/2" heel. I feel so tall with them on!

There is NO WAY I could ever wear anything with a heal on it that big... I'd probably end up either spraining/breaking my ankle or leg... or something else. LOL I've tried... they hurt and IMHO aren't worth the pain I feel to wear them... not even for a few hours. LOL

MM! I'm the same height as you Kathy. I try to stick with 2"-21/2" heels so I don't tower over HH like An Amazon Woman!
I wear heels about 2 times a week for the foo foo ladies club meeting I belong to! ßß!

I'm so not a girly, girly it's not even funny! I would not be caught dead in high heals! I can't even remember the last time I owned a pair. Maybe in 1989 when I worked at a retail store and I had to get dressed up for work.

I am a jeans and t-shirt type of gal who loves her tennis shoes. I do own a few pairs of sandals (it go hot in NC) and I have some boots (like hiking boots) that I wear. I do not enjoy getting dressed up and if for some reson I needed to, I'd have to go shopping!

Kathy and Arianna- I'm 5'8" too. Tough when I was in high school. I felt so conspicuous, but I like it now.

I rarely dress up and feel more comfortable in flats. But for an occasion, I really like heels--but no more that 2-2 1/2" . Those days of the 4"spikes are over for me.....my back can't take it! Why is my body much older than my brain? It's not Fair!!!

Funny how when I was growing up, 5'8" was defenitely considered tall. Now, my 15yr old and 17yr old nieces are both taller than me, I am sure my dds will be too. "Superkids"!

I don't think dd1 will catch me, but dd2 (14) is getting darn close to looking me in the eye. Dd3 (13) is 5'1", but she may still catch up.

I'm 5' 9" and wear rarely wear heels - unless we are going to a wedding or something. I guess I do have some boots and another pair of shoes with chunky heels on them that I wear all of the time if I'm not wearing my Doc Martin hiking type boots. :)

I'm 5'8", too! I do wear heels when I'm wearing dressy clothes. I used to feel really tall when I dated guys closer to my height, but dh is 6'4", so I like wearing them now.

My everyday shoes are a black, chunky-type shoe, but not the really high, Frankenstein-esque ones! LOL!

I have to be very careful about the type of shoe I choose since I wear a size ELEVEN! LOL!

I guess I am one of the short ones in the group...I am 5 ' 6" .

Normal footwear for me are sneakers, hiking boots, hush puppies, a show with a low-medium heel, or a boot with a low-medium heel.

When we go out fancy, I will put a pair of heels on.

5' 6 here....Loved High Heals for a long time...now though not much chance to wear them...I love Pumps....no panyhose and jean minis or skirts...only in the summer...I do love those chunky slides....usually can find me in tennis shoes...love keds...LOL

I'm 5'4'' and love shoes of all kinds. I have an assortment of colors and heel sizes. Don't wear really high heels but definitely have several pair of dressy heels.

I LOVE HIGH HEELS!!! I have great legs if I say so myself, and love the way they look in high heels. My normal shoes are 1- 2" slides in various colors..but for night time..watch out!

Okay, so I am short! Only 5'4". I don't wear heals often...too uncomfortable. I have a couple of 1" pumps for dress up, but I like comfort over fashion.

I can't believe how tall everyone is!!! 8o I would love to be just a couple inches taller so I could reach my top cabinets! Being 5'2 and 1/2 inches is also difficult when it comes to buying clothes because petites go to 5'3. So petites become highwaters after washing and average height is always too long. :bigcry:

Oh yeah, no high heels for me. My dad lovingly passed on his quad E feet to me. You can't find high heels in that width. I do get to buy all my shoes at Nordstroms.....which is a bonus! Love big clunky shoes.
