Ds turns 8 this month....and we're having a 1/2 sleepover birthday party for him on Friday night. He's have all 13 boys from his class come over at 6:00 p.m. They'll eat 1/2 pizzas, I thought I'd even cut the plates in half. Has anyone ever seen 1/2 shaped cups??? They will also eat 1/2 cupcakes...etc. I think we'll play pictionary, and a couple of other games. Then they are going to get into their p.j.'s...roll out their sleeping bags...vote on a movie to watch...and hopefully, watch it! At 10:00 p.m., we're taking them home. Thanks to whoever posted this great idea!!! These boys are 2nd graders who really want to have a sleepover party...but some who aren't quite ready to do an "all nighter" yet. This is a brilliant idea! I'll let you know how it goes!!!

I'm open for suggestions of other ways to incorporate "1/2" into the party. I'm thinking of taking pictures of the boys...cutting the photos across the middle, and having a guessing game to match up the right tops with the right bottoms. :)

Sounds like it's going to be fun.

I did a sleepover party for my DS (4th grade) same idea: dinner , into sleeping bags, watch a movie, and then sleepover. They had a great time.

Happy half party

What a wonderful idea! It sounds like it should be fun. My dd will be 8 in March and wants a slumber party too. Luckily I think she only wants to invite 2 or 3 friends. Maybe she could invite more and we could have a 1/2 sleepover party too. Then I wouldn't have to worry about having any of them the whole night! I'll have to see what she thinks of the idea.

The picture idea sounds like a good one. I'll try and think of some more 1/2 things for you.
