View Full Version : Another update from Linda/NE
Hi!
I haven't had time to get on the board. My dh was put in our local hospital tonite. He was dehydrated and needed IV's. I really don't know much more than that. I think the doctors are thinking he could be bleeding again. He will see the surgeon (that operated on him) in the morning. Maybe I'll have some answers then.
To top it off and make my day just that much better I found out what my director did/said when she subbed for me last week when I was gone. She didn't bother to follow my lesson plans because she didn't think they would work. She told my aide (who then told me) that I can't fire her over it so that's how she was going to do it. GRRR!!
Thanks for listening!
Linda/NE
What a totally insane time for her! I hope she can get out from underneath all this negativeness soon!
{{{{{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}}} to you sweetie...if your reading this.....I hope things settle down for you soon...and that your DH gets well soon....Praying for your entire family

Hi!
Thanks Ann for posting that for me. I had just emailed you and then thought I'd take a few minutes to see what was going on.
Dh was released this morning. He has to have his blood count checked tomorrow and will see his surgeon next Tues. again. He just really has to take it easy.
As for the director, I guess I just have to take her with a grain of salt. My aide will be leaving (to move to Hawaii where her dh will be stationed) and the other aide will probably start working with me. In talking with both aides they are pretty critical of her and her ways. I find it interesting that they can see how developmentally appropriate some of her ideas are and neither of them have schooling in education/early childhood. So, I guess, I'll just do my best to plug through and hope that someday I can do my own thing.
Think I'll check out a few more posts, try to respond to a few before I have to put kids to bed.
Thanks all!! You are the absolute greatest!!!
Oh sweetie....glad he was released and is home...things will get better soon I am sure of it...as for that director...hang in there...your doing it the right way....just stay cool and keep your ground...:tinysmile 8) :tinysmile

So glad to see you checking in here and hear that you are hanging in there. I know it's easier said than done, but please try not to let your director get to you. You are a good person and do wonderful things for those kids - don't let her undermine you and make you doubt who you are! :) Hope your dh is okay and on the mend! {{{hugs}}}

(((Linda))) I'm glad to hear that your dh is home. I hope that he is finally on the mend. You sure have been going through a lot.
As for your director, well, like you said just take her with a grain of salt. I hope that it gets better soon.

Linda, Glad you're back, even if it's a quickie. Hope your dh improves and that the check-in with the surgeon goes well. Hang on.....I know having a sidelined man around the house can add some stress, and it sounds like you already had enough of that.
As for the director, smile nicely and do what you know is best for those kids. I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
PS AnnW- Thank you for the updates. That was a nice thing, and I'm sure Santa took notes.

I'm so sorry to hear that your dh has not been well and has been in the hospital... but I'm glad to see that he's been released. I'll keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers and hope that things continue to go well. As for your director... I don't know what to say. She's definitely not very professional... I'd take her with a grain of salt too but it's unfortunate that you have to put up with her at all. Hang in there though... and please keep us updated as to how things are going.
