Well the weather people got us all excited yesterday about the blizzard that is coming. Schools were cancelled yesterday for today, state of emergency statewide, long lines at the grocery store. And we wake up this morning and there is no snow!!! Not one flake or rain drop!!! It is windy. But we aren't getting the storm now till tomorrow and instead of 12- 18 inches of snow here on cape cod we are geting 2-6 inches with lots of wind and storm surges at the beach. I hate when the weather men get so excited. This morning they are also saying a front from the north has to meet with the one from the south to make the storm as bad as they said and that might not happen now. Jeez. They make everyone so nervous and then the next day oh it might not happen.
Augh, and I just booked our summer vacation in New York City the day after school gets out. Hopefully we don't use any more snow days and they have to extend school past June 29th.
First off, let me say how green with envy I am that you are vacationing in NY this summer, LOL...on day, hmmm.
I know what you mean about the snow. I don't know where yu are, but here in southern Ontario, we are having it again and it's going to keep snowing through this evening. I am just really, really tired of all this white stuff and the cold too, brrr!!!
we are getting hammered here in central NY too...I have about 6 inches now, and are expecting 1 to 2 feet by Tues...LOL....oh well....
Kids are home today...and I am already tired, its only 10:11 am here....yikes....housework is done and so is the laundry so we are snow bound and probably going to bake a cake and cook some food for tonight....maybe even break out the play doh....LOL....
have a good day all and for those of us snowbound....good luck...LOL

I know what you mean about the weather guys getting all hyped and then nothing happening. The last two big storms we were supposed to get never hit like they said they would here either. I was expecting to be snowed in for days and woke up to nothing! Not sure what our weather is supposed to be like this week, but hope all of you who are getting dumped on again are hanging in there! :)
Anyone ready for spring? I know I am! Just hanging out and waiting to see what we get from this storm. I'm not east enough to get the big stuff, but we're on the back end where the snow amount predictions keep changing...and adding in freezing rain - oh boy! I went to bed thinking one thing would happen and this morning it's different. Glad I'm not a weatherman! ;)
Renee, I hope you get by OK! Hang in there! That is a lot of snow!!

We have gotten on and off snow here in Indiana today. I was watching the weather channel last night and another storm is following this one that may end up as another "noreaster." The high in Orlando today is 50. Wild!
We have over a foot at this point and another 12-18" expected overnight. My kids had a snow day, but staff had to report as scheduled. (I like to call it the "pound of flesh rule"!) However the word came down from the main office that we could leave at 1:00 so I'll take it. Besides I got caught up on a lot of my paperwork. Not as much fun as sleeping in, but...
The roads are horrible and the plows can't seem to keep up, so if this keeps up, if they call another snow day tomorrow, I'm taking the day off. At least it's not so cold today!
Oh, the comment about forecasts--Our paper yesterday morning said there'd be 1-2" overnight and 3-6" more through Monday. The snow day was a bit of a surprise. They are being a bit more pessimistic now.
I am really gettin tired of snow days....LOL...we had about a foot and a half of snow last night, and its still coming down, where I am its hard to know when its going to stop, the weatherman is never right for me, cuz I live in the boonies....LOL...the kids are getting tired of being home, I took them out in the snow yesterday for a couple hours, with the dog, and all it did was make me tired....LOL....I forgot how tiring all the playdoh and snow sledding and coloring and such could be with two little ones around...so when to they play by themselfs? LOL....have a great day all...and stay warm...

Well we ended up with nothing here on Cape Cod. Not one flake. Lots of rain and wind and the tides were very high but no damage. The kids had school here today. YEAH!!!
