How do you organize your coupons?

Just wondering if anyone has a fool-proof plan for coupon organizing?! I'm so harried and rushed right now, that half the time I forget I have coupons for stuff I'm buying, or just don't take the time to dig through my purse to get them (much to the delight of those in line behind me!). I keep them in a paper envelope that I have to replace every so often because it tears up, but if you would see my purse, you'd understand why it's so hard to "dig" for them!!!

If you have a magic way( i.e. exp. date order, divide into tyes, etc) PlEASE share!!!

I used to try to sort them by type, but it didn't seem to help me stay any more organized, so now I am back to stuffing them into one envelope like you! :) I actually have a plastic green envelope thing that I keep in my purse and I try to go thru it every once in a while. Or if there are certain coupons in the paper for the grocery store I go to I write down the item on my list and paper clip the coupons to the list so everything is ready when I hit the store. That is about as organized as it gets for me. Sorry I am not much help. :)

This is my system....Cut them out, put in an envelope, put the envelope in the drawer, forget about them, throw them away because they have expired.

It's not a great system, but it seems to work for me! :newwink:

Okay, so we are all pretty much using the same system!! LOL Glad to know I'm not alone!!!!!

I also used to put them in categories such as meat, paper, frozen, etc.., but that stopped working, so now I cut them out and put them in an envelope, and then I sit down before I go to hte store and pick out the ones for things I need. I put them in a seperate envelope. I carry all of them with me in case I see a big sale on something that I have a coupon for, but don't need, but that is too good of a deal to pass up. I remember that I have the coupon because I just went through them all. Not very systematic I know, but it works for me. I hope this helps.
