Awful news today....

When I got home from work today I was informed that one of my neighbours committed suicide. He was found in his garage, in his car, with the motor running. I have known him for years, and although we weren't good friends, I am feeling very sad for his family. He left behind his wife and two kids (~7 and ~10). He was only about 41 years old. Sorry to load this on you guys, but I had to get it off my chest.

I'm sorry to hear that! It's really sad that he commited suicide. Do you know why? I mean he left two kids, and I feel so soory! I hope my thoughts make you feel better!

How sad... He must have been feeling quite awful about something in order to do something like this to himself. Do you know if he left a note or anything? I hope it wasn't one of his children who found him... My grandpa committed suicide when my dad was quite young... and my dad was the one who found him. It was quite awful and my dad has really never quite gotten over it! My thoughts and prayers are with his family... and also with you to help you through this. Take care! :)

It's always so sad when people feel like they have no other way out. :( This happened in my hometown a few years ago. A guy killed himself on Halloween and his son found him in their garage when he got home from trick or treating. I will keep you and your neighbors in my thoughts and prayers during this horrible time. :(

that is awful news...it makes you want hug your kids and spouse tighter today and try and be thankful for what we have in life, and not thing about whats wrong...My prayers are with this mans family...

You just never know how painful some people perceive their lives until it is too late to help them. That is so sad.

How terrible for his young family. They must be devistated. I found it very difficult when my father passed away when I was 13 and I knew it was coming. This must feel even worse. My prayers will be with you and this family during the next few difficult days. Take Care.

I think it was the neighbour's nanny that found him. I don't know if there was a note or not. There has been so much speculation from people around the neighbourhood.....no matter what happened, it is an awful tragedy. I guess nobody will really know what happened, or why it happened. I just hope that the rest of his family make it through this okay. Thanks again everyone for your thoughts.

How very sad. I had a former student (a junior this year) commit suicide a couple of weeks ago. I don't know why he thought that was his only option. It was quite a shock. He was a very popular, happy-go-lucky young man. School was turned out for his funeral. It was heart-wrenching.
My prayers are with this man and his family.
