That's it! I've had about all the snow I can take for one year. It has been snowing so hard for the last 48 hours that I think we have had more snow in two days than we have had most of the winter.
School cancelled ~~ two whining kids at home all day~'I'm bored, what can I do?' but of course nothing you suggest is good enough. dd finally made her way across the street to a friends place this afternoon. They are going to bake cookies.( of course that was a dumb idea when I suggested it yesterday). Ds is actually having a nap. He hasn't done that in almost a year. Never has been a sleeper. dh made his way into the office about noon but hopes to keep it a short day. Thought I'd sit back, relax and do a bit of surfing on the net but guess what. Just heard that dredded rumble rumble sound of my friend the snowplow. Peeked out the front window and found that the end of my driveway has a pile of snow at least as high as my shoulders (I'm 5'6") and likely about 3 - 4 feet wide, pushed into it. When Spencer wakes up I guess we will be doing a bit of shovelling so Brian can get the car in when he gets home. At least it's not too cold.
Don't mind me, I'm just venting. Five more days until dh and I are off to the Sunny south. The kids are going to Brian's sisters place in B.C. for the week. They can't wait. Neither can I!!!
