His teacher says he is doing a lot better. He is not as disruptive and is concentrating a lot more. I just hope it is not so late in the school year that he will get held back because of problems before medication. Thanks a lot for everything.
So glad that it is all working out!

So glad to hear of the positive results! You might be surprised by the ground he can make up now. I have a child in my class in foster care with a host of other problems, but once we got his meds adjusted, he's shown tremendous progress. He is reading like no body's business and his confidence in himself has increased 100 times over. He used to get so upset with himself (and was self-injurous), calling himself "stupid" (unfortunately that did not all stem from his A.D.D) and now he is a totally different child. He grins from ear to ear and says over and over "I knew I could do it".
It is very gratifying, as a teacher, to see a child make such a turn around, it can only be more gratifying when the turn around is in your own flesh and blood.

I agree with Kat. I've seen the same thing happen. The child really flourishes! And finds a comfort level within him/herself. It's my belief that a teacher (and parent) will know within a few days if the medication is making a difference. I'm glad it's working out for you.
