View Full Version : dispensing Medications ARGH
How come everyone of these over the counter medications have different cups with either wieght, age or tsp....I can't find the one that goes with the right one...argh...so anyway....dd got a sropt for some Augmentum Friday.. I gave her some this morning...and it got me so mad....how come they don't give you somthing to measure it with when they give it to you....I do have a syringe type one...but with this Augmentum.....half of the medication sticks to the dispening utensil....so what do you all use...just curious...I like the syringe one for Advil and light liquids...but this heavy antibiotic stuff has be in a tissy....TIA?(

I prefer the oral syringes, but usually just use a cup. I tell ds to look at the ceiling when he takes it so he gets most of it, but yea, a lot of it will stick to the cup.

I use those clear medicine spoons (with measurements on the outside). Works for us! Taking medicine is a no nonsense thing here...we've never made a huge deal of it! You just take it when needed (prescribed by dr. or dr. mom!)...no complaining!!! :)
