cmmommy@earthlink.net
thanks in advance...
I have alot of friends who have done it with great success. I sounds great, in fact, dh and I have talked about joining. You can sign up and do "meetings" on line.
thanks for the quick response Ann...dh and I read the first little booklet last night...he seems interested too....Love that my godmother sent me this slide rule....seems so much easier to count points rather than fat, and calories all the time...they are already calculated into the points....
let me know if you two do it...I am doing to thier web site today...thanks again for responding so quickly....feeling rather buldgy today....maybe my period is coming...

Hi Renee,
I joined with a friend last January and lost 18lbs. I have managed to keep it off :)
We stopped going in April and decided to continue on our own. I went up a couple of pounds over the summer, then down again, then up a few over the holidays but I am back down again.
It is a great program, doesn't "forbid" anything which is a key factor for me, meaning if I need a few hershey kisses I can have them, LOL!
It stresses portion control and drinking a lot of water and moderate exercise.
Weight loss is slow, maybe 3-4 lbs your first week and 1-2 every week thereafter, but it is more of a lifestyle change than a diet.
As of yesterday I am back to counting points to lose my last 10lbs.
If I can help at all, let me know!
Thanks Kathy....I just read the booklets and did register online at thier web site....looks like I could follow this plan....lifestyle change is a lot easier than a diet....thanks again..;)

I'm rejoining WW tomarrow. I lost 28 lbs on it this fall but I chickened out over the holidays. I can just feel those bad habits reserficing. I don't know if online's going to do it for me.
Tip- OroWheat makes a good bread that's one point a slice. Stay away from the "light bread". It's 1 point for 2 slices but it tastes light baking soda. :grimace:

Renee - I've done it and my boss and I are actually back at it this very week. Can't get to meetings either, but man it sure does something to KNOW yo'u're going to be getting on that scale every week - it's the real motivator!
It is easy to follow and you're never hungry or feeling deprived.
Good luck and it's great if dh is in on it w/you. My dh eats everything and anything and still stays slim... grrrrrr....

I get the feeling there's going to be a long line at weigh in tomorrow.
dh and I started on Tuesday....and of course I have been bed ridden...which probably helped me....LOL....as of today I feel great...the points are really working for me....its easier than counting fat/clories....dh likes it too....we have done great all week....I need to get back to the exercising part...but since I have been so sick...I will wait another day... I am registered online...and for now and not joining the PAY $$$ program...but can use thier "boards" for support.....thanks for your encouragement....
:)
