Dh and I are going to San Diego in two weeks. We have never gone on a trip together, I'm so excited! This will be our tenth anniversary and I would like to do some romantic things while we are there. Does anybody have any suggestions?

p.s. I haven't been here in a while, wow has this place changed :)

Brichard and I went to San Diego about 4 years ago and oh, we just loved it. I don't have any romantic advice as we took my mother and ds with us!! Enjoy yourselves!

What fun!! Go to George's restarant in La Jolla...http://www.georgesatthecove.com/
very romantic, take a sweater and sit outside on their roof top for dinner..try to go at sunset.
There are some really fun restarants in Old Town..a fun Mexican place that you eat out of buckets.
Go down to Mexico and get me some pewter!! LOL

I was born and raised in San Diego- it's a nice place to visit but there are just WAY TO MANY people there!

Do go to La Jolla, never been to George's, but Ann usually knows her stuff when it comes to traveling! Just walking along the beach maybe romantic. (Having grown up there, I really don't think of it as romantic- (sorry) but I'm sure others (who haven't lived there) do think of it as a romantic place.

Old Town is neat to walk around and so is Balboa park, maybe even Seaport Village (haven't been there in years, but the other 2 I have).

Have fun and enjoy the time with your dh!

Lived in San Diego for a year and LOVED it! Would move back there in a heartbeat!

Ann, we loved George's! And that's where we'd always take visiters, too! Definitely go there, Sheryl!

Gaslamp Quarter is really nice, too...interesting places there. Also go to Seaport Village if you can!

Mick..how come we never talked about George's?? LOL
The kids loved it..we froze but ds STILL talks about the wonderful salmon he had there!
Sheryl..don't let the fact that we had our kids make you think this is a "family" restaraunt. It's definitely romantic and adult, but they did make our kids feel welcome.

It was a bit chilly at night, but they always had those big heaters out there--just needed to sit right next to them! ;)

Thanks for all the ideas everybody:) Dh and I will get there on a wednesday afternoon and don't leave until sunday evening. I called the hotel that we are staying at to see if they had any activities and reserved side by side massages. :* I checked out the link to Georges restaurant, thanks that looks great. I think I need to go shopping for some new clothes, what will I wear?:\ We're going to bring our rollerblades too, there must be trails there.... I'm really just looking forward to having Dh to myself and not having three small kids ask me for something every time my butt hits the chair. :)

The massages sound great!
I just wore either long kakhi pants or capri kahki's with a twin set most places and then a jacket at night.
Balboa Park is a great place to roller blade, also you can rollerblade on the sidewalk down the beach.
OH..you got to go to the Coronado Hotel one day also..have lunch, walk around..it's really pretty.
Also..go to the zoo..not romantic, but if you are there, and haven't seen it, you really should go.
