View Full Version : Roller Coaster Week - Need Prayers
Tuesday of this week dh's oldest brother's ex-wife (they divorced about 4 years ago - 2 kids) was found dead in her bedroom. When MIL called me at work she said it was a suicide. Her daughter goes into labor about 4 hours after her mom was found. She had a baby boy on Wed. Former SIL's husband (I thought they were getting a divorce) says that none of our family is to go to the funeral. Everyone is upset not the least of which is BIL who can't go to the funeral of the mother of his children. Today we find out that the death has been ruled a homicide. The paper says that they are close to solving it.
Needless to say our family needs prayers especially for my niece and nephew.

Oh kat, what a week. Prayers to you and your family.
Who is taking BIL's children to the funeral if he isn't?? Will he have the kids now, or maybe he already does?

kat- How awful for all of you. I hope your BIL gets to be supportive to his children, even if he can't be at the funeral. Grief makes people crazy.........hopefully the widower will reconsider. Prayers are being said for you all.

I'm so sorry, Kat.
How old are the children? Maybe bil could go with them to the funeral home early in the morning, when the family isn't there and receiving visitors?
Praying for you and your family.
Thanks so much for your concern and prayers. Kids are 19 and 13. Niece is to be married now that baby is born. Nephew will live with BIL and his new wife. Who by the way is great. She'll be good for nephew. There was no visitation. It was all too weird. They had a private graveside service on private property. I thought it was illegal to bury on private land, but I guess I was wrong. She was a teacher and none of her colleauges or students could go either. Paper said she died of suffocation.
I'm sorry but I think her "widower" husband did it. She had kicked him out and they were getting a divorce. Sorry, I probably should not be saying anything.
