I know all you women have an answer for this.

What is the proper way one should respond to a post...Is it by quoting or by starting a new thread?

I do not want to become to wordy nor take up too much space. So you, in your infinit wisdom can direct this man lacking the necessary wisdom in the proper manner I would apprecciate it.

Welcome to IB.
It is not necessary to start a new thread in order to respond to a post. If you are replying to the main question in the thread, most of us don't quote the original. If you are replying to another comment within a thread, then quoting or just referencing the person can be helpful.
