I have never made a pork roast before (only beef) but I had my dh buy a pkg of pork roasts at Costco today. They just looked like they would taste good. But how do I cook them? Does anyone have a recipe for one in a crock pot? I have been using my crock pot a lot since starting home daycare. It makes dinner so much easier.

Squeeze a couple of limes, add worcestershire sauce and soy sauce on top of the pork roast..cook in the crock pot all day.
I have heard that coke (diet or regular) plus ketchup is good too.

Dump a package of dry Lipton onion soup mix in the bottom of the crock pot. Place pork roast on top. Smear a can of jellied cranberries on top of the roast. I cook mine slowly all day. Tastes wonderful on mashed potatoes or rice. I usually make gravy with the drippings...mmmmm.

I also use Lipton Onion Soup mix, add a little water and then a few hours later add more water, carrots and potatoes. :licklips:

Pork Roast with Sweet Potatoes

1 (3 lb) boneless pork roast
2-3 large sweet potatoes
1/2 cup apple cider
3 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
salt and pepper to taste

Put roast in bottom of crock pot. Cut sweet potatoes into thin slices and add on top of roast. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over roast and potatoes; cook all day on low or about 4 hours on high. (You may add a cornstarch-water mixture to the drippings to thicken and serve as gravy).

The gravy thing didn't work for me, it never would thicken! Anway, I cooked mine on high for 4 hours and it was delicious! Very tender!!!
Enjoy!

I hope you liked it if you decided to make it! Think I'm going to have to make it again very soon! Re-reading the recipe made me hungry for it! Of course, I'm hungry for any kind of real food right now, I've been sick for over a week and the ole tumm hasn't been very accepting of solid food!!!
Let me know how it turned out and if y'all liked it!!!!
