I Really Need Your Help

Ladies, I just finished talking with my youngest daughter and she is in her fourth month of pregnancy (4 months along) and was just informed by her that she has Graves Disease.

In the last two weeks she has lost 16 pounds and that is troubling me and I thought you were to gain weight not lose it. She tried to explain to me what it involved but it just got me even more confused. Have any of you ladies heard of this disease? If so how bad is it in relating to pregnancy and the health of my daughter and her unborn baby? I would appreciate and info/advice. Thanks so much.

I appreciate your post and wondered why I didn't think of looking on the web for an answer. I also spoke with a friend, a Nurse Practioner and she explained ti to me in laymen language.

It's tough for a daughters without a mother makes it difficult at times. It's fortunate she married and stayed in France which allows me an opportunity to visit her in a couyple of days.
