What is everyone cooking for tonight? I am not sure yet, so I need some ideas.

Leigh, How can you think about dinner first thing in the morning? Does everyone? This may be a clue to why I don't cook. If I am at the end of my menu for the week (and I am), I have no idea what to cook. I do need to grocery shop this morning...so if dds ever get up, we'll get a menu together. I'm glad it's a short week. I think menu planning is one of the hardest jobs.

I'm thinking that some beef stew or soup in the crock-pot would be good today... but I'm not too sure yet. I'm going to see what dh and the kids are in the mood for, but of course if I do that I will probably end up with take out pizza. LOL I think I need to think about this a little bit more. LOL

Menu planning sure is one of the hardest jobs...I used to think I hated cooking, turns out I just hate planning what to cook, LOL.

As for dinner tonight. I'm thinking something light and easy...like maybe pancakes and toast, LOL.

We are grilling out tonight. It will be hamburgers. DH makes the best mesquite grill burgers. I may do a cheesy potato dish to go with it.

Can't wait till tonight should be yummm!!!

Cathy, yep I pretty much plan either the night before or that am. Most times I will plan for the week so I can grocery shop.

I think we are having breakfast for dinner too.

I usually do plan meals early in the day because they usually involve thawing meat out from the freezer. I'm not too good at planning a weeks worth of meals. We kinda fly by the seat of our pants and eat what ever sounds good on a particular night. If we want something that takes a long time to fix I do plan a day ahead of time.

For lunch the kids will probably just have hot dogs or pizza bites. It's tonight I still need to figure out for sure.

We also had sliced apples and oranges (don't want y'all thinking poorly of me), milk and OJ. And I made the waffles from scratch - good thing I've got that fresh baking powder!

Well after my meal planning dh wanted pizza, so we ordered in..lol

TXmom....the cheese noodles are my ds favorite they are Homestlye chedder by Lipton... Fast Fry steaks are just steaks cut very thin(sandwhich Steaks), and also perohgy or perogies(potatoe and cheese in a douhg shell) which you boil.

KarlaB the oriental party pack is so good, inside this pack you get small spring rolls, potstickers, and bite size pork bites and bite size chicken bites, all very yummy with plum sauce.
Hope this answered your questions
