This sounds so yummy I just had to share! Haven't tried it yet, but have a feeling I won't be able to hold out much longer!!!

Bread Pot Fondue :licklips:

1 (1lb) loaf round bread
8 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
6 oz. cream cheese
1 1/2 cups sour cream
1/2 cup chopped green onions
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp vegatable oil
1 tbsp butter
1 cup cooked ham, diced (optional)

Preheat oven to 350ยบ. Cut a hole in the top of the bread, hollow out loaf, leaving a bowl. Reserve removed bread. In a medium bowl, mix together cheddar cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, ham, onions and Worcestershire sauce. Spoon the mixture into the bread bowl. Replace the top of the bread, wrap tightly in foil and place on medium baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven 60-70 minutes. Tear the reserved bread into bite-sized pieces. In a small bowl, mix the bread, oil and butter. Place on medium baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven 10-15 minutes until brown, turning once.

We used to have fondue parties all the time in high school!!! (loved to entertain even then!) They are a great dinner party to do if you want to mix together people that don't really know one another.
Have one pot that is the bread dip, another for breaded veggies, another for a meat, (serve a salad so your aterties don't completely clog!;) ) and then for dessert have one full of chocolate with strawberries and pound cake to dip. Everyone sits together but if you drop your piece back into the pot you have to kiss everyone of the opposite sex at the table!! I did this in a restaraunt in Switzerland with 30 people at the table!!!!!! LOL

You are welcome! It really is a fun party to do, I may have to drag out the old fondue pots and have one myself!
