View Full Version : Generousity
As some of you know we have been really tight for money lately....and when we bought our house almost one year ago on March 17th actually.... we had to take a personal loan from someone very close to me, and it was the hardest thing I have ever had to do, we have been dilligent (sp?) in paying this loan back, every month I send a check never fail....well today in my mail box was the kindest note from this person, saying that they appreciated our effort to get them the check every month and to consider this loan paid in full.....and how proud they were of us and our reaching for our dreams....I am overwhelmed with thier generousity....I love this person very much and we would still owe them a large sum of money....what a wonderful gift of gererousity....I called them and thanked them this afternoon and we both had a wonderful cry.....
I just wanted to share my good fortune, it's rare in this world that we actually tell each other how important we feel about the people are in our lives....
As I type I am reminded that maybe I should say, I truely feel blessed to have great "Pretend friend" here at the Idea Box too....Thanks David and Pam for providing a wonderful place to come and share life, as people, and parents.....
feeling very happy with life today.

Oh Renee, what wonderful news!!!!!!! I am so happy for ya'll!
And you are right, I may whine alot about the place, but IB really is a blessing in my life. Guess that's why I am so protective of this place! :)

WOW! That is so neat and you are lucky to have such wonderful people in your life!! And, I agree about IB. It has been great getting to know everyone better and feel like I can just come here to chat, get advice, whine, or vent and there's always lots of support and good laughs in return! Thanks gals (and David and Pam)! :)
(If my 3 yo can have pretend friends, it's okay for me, too - right? LOL!)

Wow, how wonderful... and what a wonderful person this is! You evidently mean very much to this them too. :) It's good to know that their are still such giving people out there. Definitely a wonderful gift of gererousity. This will certainly help you out a lot... I'm SO happy for you and your family! :)
I couldn't agree with you more about the Idea Box. I've been thinking a lot about how many people I wouldn't "know" if it weren't for David and Pam and this board. In a lot of way's I feel a lot closer to some of you than I do my "real" friends. LOL I'm probably sounding pretty pathetic right now but... I really do appreciate being able to come here each and every day and being able to share what we've all been up to. Have definitely met a lot of interesting people. I think it would really be a blast if we could all get together and meet each other some day. Now wouldn't THAT be something? LOL

And I agree with you all about IB being the best place to "visit". I realize that is almost 3 years that I have been posting with you all! WOW Time flys when you're having fun!

How wonderful, Renee! And thanks for posting this!
I agree that this place is great and I, too, and grateful for the friendships I've made via IB. My mom calls you all my "pretend friends", but you aren't pretend to me...just not "in person"! :) I am very close to a few of you and have shared more with you than I do my "in person" friends. There are many funny, loving, compassionate, level-headed and helpful women here and I'm thankful to Pam and David for all their hard work that enables us all to visit with and enjoy each other every day!

Yeah Renee!! What a beautiful gift and Im sure your benefactor is getting as much pleasure out of this as you are!
One day when everyone is rich with lots of time on their hands, I still think Chicago would be a good half-way point to have a girls only party!! That would be soo much fun!!

Wonderful news, Renee!!!
Ditto on Amy/CO's comment. As I read the posts I was thinking the same thing. I am sure that your friend is feeling as wonderful as you are! I'd love to be in the financial position to help friends and family out like that.
It must be a good day because today we got excellent news about my dh's recent back injury (fractured two vertebrae while sledding with dd). They expect 100% recovery!
Thanks for posting your story!

Chicago would be closer for me, but I think we should do it at Ann's so we can see her finished project and enjoy some WARM weather!! :) On the other hand, we could do it up here so those that think the 50/60's are COLD can find out what cold really is! ROFL!

Just name the day, place and time!!! I have only been here a month but feel I've known some of you all my life.
***Ann**
Brian wants to know if he can come too, even if he isn't a mom. He says he needs to know where to find you in case he gets tired of me. What a Brat!!!
