Favorite meals out

Does anyone experiment greatly when they go out to eat? I always gravitiate towards dishes I know I will like. What are your favorite dishes in the following restaurants?

Chinese

Mexican

Italian

Fast Food


For me its the following:

Chinese-hot and sour soup and steamed dumplings

Mexican-Pollo Azado Buritto. Only one local restaurant makes this. Its steamed fresh veggies, grilled chicken, rice, whole blackbeans rolled into a tortilla and covered with this incredible spicy/tangy green sauce.

Italian-I always look for some sort of chicken piccata or anything with chicken and lemon sauce

Fast Food- I pretty much hate this kind of food because I feel gross after I eat it. LOL

Chinese - Brocoli with garlic sauce and a veggie egg roll

Mexican - Carneasada steak burritos....which I haven't had since I lived in California...

Italian - I usually go for Ravioli with marinaria sauce or meatballs

Fast Food - I love Whoppers...but am totally off Fast food for a while....I agree Amy...it can make you feel yucky afterward....

Chinese - We usually go to a buffet, so I get a taste of everything I like. :) My current fav is Chicken with Mushrooms.

Mexican ~ I like Mexican, but we don't eat out Mexican a lot. Would probably go with something like chicken fajitas.

Italian ~ at Macaroni Grill it's Pasta Milano. :drool:

Fast Food ~ I like cheese curds at Culvers for a treat.
Ditto on the gross feeling though. I try not to order anything from McD's when dks and dh eat there, but will occasionally have a kids cheeseburger. LOL!

I like to experiment when I go out to a new place, but if I am going to some of my tried and true neighborhood places, this is what I would get....

Chinese: Hot and Sour soup and Chicken lettuce wraps

Mexican: Cheese enchilladas or Sour cream chicken enchilladas in a verde sauce

Italian: Depends, Veal with artichokes and mushrooms or Pasta Bona (fettucine noodles with grilled veggies, shrimp, chicken in a broth base), or Calamari salad

Fast Food: Sonic burger with jalepenos and onion rings..I LOVE it!!!!

Chinese: Hot and sour soup and Sheswan Beef (sp) the hotter the better

Mexican: Anything

Fast Food: Bacon Cheese Burger & Fries from Sonic

Italian: Fettucine Alfredo

Chinese - General Tso's Chicken

Mexican - not a big mexican food fan! I prefer things that aren't layered in those gloppy sauces. Fajitas!

Italian - manicotti

Fast Food - Arby's roast beef and a potato cake

Manicotti ISN'T layered with sauces? It's a shell stuffed with cheese and a sauce on top .... an Italian enchillada!! LOL

The mex sauces I don't like are the creamy ones with bits of green funky stuff. rofl

Chinese - chicken with cashew nuts
Mexican - cheese enchiladas
Italian - yuck
Fast Food - an occasional whopper or chicken sandwich
pretty much fast fooded out - makes me feel nasty

Chinese: Yuck! Don't really like it, only eat it if I HAVE to! LOL

Italian: Lasagna

Mexican: Steak Fajitas and chips and cheese dip

Fast Food: Probably pizza. If I do McD's, I have a cheeseburger.

I'm not a very adventurous eater. I like to order things that I am sure I'll like. My dh will try almost anything!

Chinese - Cashew Nut Chow Mein/Pork Fried Rice, Sweet and Sour Chicken and Egg Rolls... Yummmm
Mexican - Just about anything... I like it all. :)
Italian - Speghetti/Meatballs and Garlic Bread
Fast Food - Probably Arby's... Regular Roast Beef with Onion Chips

Okay, it's 9:00am and I'm drooling. :drool: As a general rule I'm not very adventurous when we go out to eat. I head for the tried and true.

Chinese (not crazy about it but...) sweet and sour chicken or egg rolls

Mexican: everything except Menudo!!!!

Italian: eggplant parmesan

Fast Food: Wendy's spicy chicken sandwich or the Green Burrito's taco salad

MMM food! I love to eat out!! But shouldn't so much!!!

Chinese - either Chicken Fried rice, but made with steamed rice or Moo Shoo Chicken, extra plum sauce!

Mexican - chips and salsa/cheese dip and quesadillas, any kind!

Italian - EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!

Fast food - pizza

oooohh!! I forgot about Moo Shoo!! I rarely order (I go buffet), but one place in SanFranciso has the most awesome Moo Shoo (definitely with extra plum sauce!)

I love pulled pork. I think pork is becoming a staple of my diet. It used to only appeal sometimes........

Of course, if you had to eat pork chops the way my mother cooked them (wonderful mother-lousy cook), you might be turned off too.

Fast food is the only option we have in this town! I have never tried Chinese or true authentic Mexican either and truthfully don't care to. They don't look appealing at all to me.

Italian--does pizza count?? Didn't think so :)

Fast Food--in our town McDonalds, Pizza Hut and Subway are the only choices so I'd have to say Pizza--pepperoni and mushroom pan. Fast food choices in bigger towns would definitely be Arby's roast beef sandwiches with a sesame seed bun! YUM!!

You mean pinto beans and cornbread (gag!)!! That's a biggie here in the hills of Tennessee!!! You'd be surprised at just how good this Chinese restaurant is!!!! And it was an awesome place to work, too!!! What about San Fran? How would that be any different than TN?!!!! LMBO!! :p

Chinese: When I was in Germany it was Chicken and Mushrooms. Since I can't find that here, now I get seseme chicken.

Italian: Tortelini in white sauce, but I haven't been able to find that here either, so I guess lasagna.

Mexican: Chicken soft tacos.

Chinese: Not really my favorite eat it once in blue moon, but if I would have to pick something it would probably be either Beef Chop Suey, or Almond Chicken.


Italian: Dont really have a fave there either, guess it would be pizza if that counts, which I doubt..

Mexican: Well lots to choose from here, a friend of the Family owns a taco shop here is PG, so I would say I love the beef burritos(I can fold them too, used to work in the taco shop), I also like the taco burgars all with Sour Cream and Guacamole.

Fast Food: Have had way to much McDonalds lately the kids love it, My favorite would be the beef and chedder or the chicken breast fillet with curly fries and gravy from Arby's(used to work there too when I was in Grade 11 and 12)

My most favorite place to eat though is Moxie's...I really like their Tai Chicken Strips and Caesar salad..if ever given a choice on where to go I choose here...:*
