Hello! I have a pretty serious problem; my husband and I can't eat hardly anything. He has a hard time digesting things like beans, raw vegetables, and fried foods. I am much worse. I can't eat anything involving poultry (chicken, turkey, duck, eggs, etc). I can't eat dairy except in very small doses, and then it's a 50-50 chance that it will make me sick. No fried food. Very small amounts of vegetables. No beans. Low red meat. And the list goes on. I have been to several doctors who haven't been able to determine what is wrong with me, let alone my husband.
My question to you all is: do any of you have severe food alergies, and if so, how do you eat with others who do not? I could use recipes, advice on eating out at restaurants, etc. We used to go out to eat a couple of times a week before I got sick, and I miss it. When we do go out, I end up ordering something nasty on the menu because everything else is full of chicken, beef, or raw vegetables. It drives me nuts that retaurants seem to think that eating healthy means eating chicken. Ugh.
