Dh's night to cook!! So, I don't know what it will be.
Y'all's dinner sounds great though. I may have to come join you depending on how DH does.
Tonight is mystery meal!!!
I think we'll have hamburger patties, roasted potatoes and cauliflour and/or green beans.
Two of my kids are sick, so I think we'll have soup and toast just to be on the safe side.

I am clueless. Dance nights are tough unless I've put something in the crock pot ahead of time. OHhh... Little Ceasars has $5 pizza on Mondays..... hummmm
I ran away yesterday so dh and dd bought themselves tv dinners - dd loves a tv dinner. (that, and Lawrence Welk!!!!!!!!) Give her Welk and a tv dinner and she's in "high cotton"!!! :) Funny girl.
Suppose I should go grocery shopping.......

I put a beef roast in the crock pot this morning so we are having bbq sandwiches. One of Brichard's favorite meals. Ds and I had a "lunch date" at Red Lobster so the kids are eating the leftovers from that.

Dh and I had left over P'Zones from Pizza Hut. Has anyone else ever tried them? They are pretty good.
Mac & Cheese and turkey dogs for the guys and a turkey sandwich and pretzels for me.

How do you season your salmon when you grill it? We probably have about 25 salmon in our freezer right now and I need to start making some for my dh and dd to eat. Before I know it, it will be salmon season again and we'll have even more.

Several ways
make a paste of brown sugar and honey and spread it on
marinate in soy sauce
barbecue sauce
wishbone Italian dressing
right now they are marinating in lime juice, soy sauce worchestershire sauce and a little pineapple jam.

Last night we had home made split pea soup... It was my first time making it and it turned out really good. I was SO surprised that both kids liked and actually ate two bowls of it. LOL I didn't even think they would taste it to say nothing about taking two helpings of it. :) I had made a big pot full of it so I froze the leftovers for another night. I also made BLT's... and/or BLC's [cheese] for the kids... they absolutely HATE tomato's. I like it when I try something new and everyone actually eats/likes it. LOL

Split Pea Soup...
2 stalks of celery, diced
1 to 2 carrots, diced
1 medieum or 2 small otatos, peeled and diced
1 onion
1/4 of a bay leave
Salt and pepper to taste (I put in about 1 teaspoon)
1 tsp. marjoram
1/2 tsp. thyme
1/4 cup of fresh parsley, chopped
3 to 4 Tbsp. vinegar (I didn't put this in)
OR red/white wine
8 to 11 cups of water
2 Cups (1 package) split pea's.
Saute onion, celery, carrot and bay leave in water (or oil) until soft. Add marjoram and thyme, sale, pepper, split-pea's, and 7-8 cups of water and bring to a boil. Lower to medium-high and cook until split peas are soft... about 50 to 60 minutes. When/if the soup becomes too thick, add additional water to prevent it from burning (and to keep it a soup rather than a stew). Add potatos and parsley and cook 20 minutes. Remove from heat, add vinegar (ugh ?( ) mix well... and serve. I doubled the recipe and it made quite a lot.
I also added some ham... (quite a bit of it...) I don't think it would have tasted as good without it. :) It was really good...

I tried one recipe my dh loved. It had brown sugar , dill and ? I can remember off the top of my head, but it loved it. I'll have to try some of the others. Maybe I can get him to grill this weekend (if it stays above 0). I'd really love a steak and he can have some salmon! LOL
