Just checking in with everybody. How was your day?
So far so good here.
Had a delicious bowl of Special K for breakfast with 1/2 grapefruit.
Had another bowl for lunch with 1/2 banana.
Waiting for DH to bring home dinner...hopefully Sushi (very healthy).
I defiantely need to drink more water during the day...I will try to do that tomorrow.
So far I didn't get to exercise (too busy here)....maybe later?
I had my cheerios with fruit, and yogurt and sliced turkey for lunch. (need to still eat more). Moved the salmon to tommorrow nite, so we are having homemade veggie soup. I did the treadmill for an hour.

I had my cereal for breakfast, a small lunch and an orange for a snack this afternoon. I am going to eat cereal for supper along with another orange or banana. I did ride the bike for 20 minutes today and may hop back on tonight.
I think I have done pretty well today. Haven't drank as much water as I had hoped and I ate two Tootsie Pop suckers. :\
Hope everyone is doing well!!!

Well, the day started out great....delicious Special K for breakfast. Made a salad (lettuce...a little cheese...some carrots) for lunch...and then, IT HAPPENED! I got to work and someone (obviously out to ruin my diet!) had brought in donuts! I purposely stayed out of the teacher's lounge all morning....and then CAVED in at lunch and had a donut with my salad. UGH!!!!! Tomorrow I'll have to begin again!

I've survived the first day!!
Had the cereal for breakfast, banana about an hour later, canned peaches (the kind in fruit juice, not syrup!) about 2 hours later,
lunch was small portions of pork roast, sweet potatoes, and peas, NO butter! woo hoo!! :yippee: Drank tons of water all day, I'm going to need a cathater at this rate!! I usually drink a lot of water throughout the day, but I think I topped myself today!!! I have one of those big cups that holds 4 oz. and I probably refilled it and drank it all 5-6 times! Only one diet coke first thing this a.m., then a caffine free one with dinner!
Just finished my second bowl and added a few sliced, fresh strawberries, much better that way!!!
Going to do a bit of house work, cut up all this fruit I bought, then hit the bike, going for 30 minutes!!!
We're awesome!!! See, taking it one day at a time, and having support WILL work!!!!!
I've been dying to get home and check the boards to see how everyone did!!!!!
YEA for us!!!!! :thumb:
I expect more of the same tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't have any Special K on hand so I had corn flakes for breakfast with a banana. I was going to try to have cereal for lunch too but I was starving so I had rice w/hamburger and corn and an apple. I did have popcorn w/the boys after school but besides that I am doing ok. Supper will be something lite!! I did do tae kwon do for an hour so that should have helped w/my calorie expenditure. I just hope I can lose some weight. I think I gained about 10 pds over the holidays-at least that is what the scale says. :(

Way to go everyone!! The hardest part for me is being home all day and not nibbling on what the boys eat. Tonight they had pork loin leftovers along with cheesy potatoes and I did snitch a bite of each, but feel okay because I did well earlier today. I have to commend dh - he resisted temptation! LOL! Love being able to check in with ll of you - I hope it helps keep me on track. :)
Let's all remember the point of all this is to be heathly and not eat too little!!! Your metabolism will slow way down and actually cause you body to hold on to the food that you are eating. I know, I have messed up my metabolism through years of starving!

I couldn't agree more!!! I have a HUGE appetite, but as long as I switch from the fatty, junk foods to healthy fruits and veggies, I'll be ok. My body's in shock, though, from so little fat today!! Guess it will take some getting used to! And a little splurge here and won't hurt. That's why exercise is such a key component of this whole plan!!!!!

Thanks, Angie!!! The more the merrier!!!!!!
I had bran flakes for breakfast with a banana. Apple for snack. Turkey sandwich with cranberrysauce (as a condiment). Chocolate banana for dessert. And a small plate of chicken fried rice and a 20oz glass of lemon water.
Excerise...... hmmm..... I had two good workouts the previous days. Today was slug day.
Just by watching my portions and exercising moderately, I lost 3 lbs over the weekend. I can be such a munch addict. LOL
I had a box of Special K in the freezer and broke it out for breatfast. Had a turkey dog with sauerkraut and frozen peaches for lunch. For dinner it was a turkey sandwich and a few pretzels.
MaryL, I completely understand the donut thing. I haven't had a glazed donut in over a year till yesterday morning at church. We have coffee and donuts during class and I broke down and had one.

Thanks, Kat! It is fun to be able to "fess up" when you've gone off the wagon! LOL I take my eating/dieting seriously....and at the same time I feel good about myself the way I am (which is definately not "model perfect!" LOL). One of my dearest friends has struggled with anorexia/bulemia for the past 18 years. It really puts eating and dieting into perspective for me. She is simply miserable whenever she has to think about eating...and diets constantly, works out too much, etc. I'd rather be a little overweight and happy, than starve myself to be thin and be miserable. Does that make sense?? But I definately am all for a healthy lifestyle...and thats what I like about the Special K diet.

I ate my Special K for breakfast and lunch, along with a banana. It's MUCH easier for me to eat cereal without the rest of my family being here to tempt me with whatever it was I made them for their meals. The hardest part though is making THEM a meal and not being able to eat it too... or at least "tasting" it to see if it's good or not. LOL I told them that their on their own for breakfast/lunch... and I'll make/eat supper with them each/every night. For supper I ate some homemade split pea soup and 1/2 of a BLT and a caffine free diet coke. I DID scew up a little by eating a little bit of popcorn while I sat and watched tv... but it really wasn't that much so...8o 8o For exercise I went for my walk... I also drank more water than I normally do so it left me feeling pretty good about my day. :) I'm glad to see that everyone else is doing well too. :)
Diane...
