I have chicken breasts out for dinner, but don't know what to do with them...any ideas? Keep in mind that I can't grill them as we are in the midst of a snowstorm right now, lol. TIA

I started the crock pot this morning with Jeff's "Zesty Beef and Vege Soup" recipe. Looks and smells delicious! Will probably have pita bread along with it. Don't know if the kids will eat it so might make the Tatortot casserole that someone posted (Karla I think).

Made a super-easy fat free angel food/pineapple cake this morning for dessert, yum.

In the middle of a huge snowstorm right now...on my way home from work picked up 2 kinds of soup (chicken and minestrone), party sandwiches, deli meats, etc. It is definately going to be soup, salad and sandwich night here.

The DK's are going to a birthday at McDonalds for supper tonight.
Since I am going to stay there with them I will probably grab something too...

DH will probably haev sandwhiches, since it is hockey night for him, and he doesn't like to eat much on those nights.

Good Thing for the Birthday party cause my cupboards are bare, good thing it is payday tomorrow.

No idea!!! :tearhair: I wanted to do chicken fajitas, but I don't have any chicken. I wanted to stop and get some today, but didn't dare shut off the Explorer for fear of being stuck at the grocery store with a 2 yo!! LOL!

Maybe waffles tonight? :)

We're having chicken in a garlic-herb white sauce, steamed broccoli, rice and fresh friut. Dks might have chicken nuggets instead of white sauce because I only have two breast pieces left.

We had left-overs. Dh and I had turkey lasagna and layered salad, ds has turkey, stewed potatoes and green beans. I really wanted chili when the bottom fell out of our nice 70 degree weather. I'm in thermal underware, jeans, a sweater, and a thick pair of peds and I'm still freezing. Feel like crap too. I think I may be coming down with something. Throat, ears and chest all hurt and I've got a dry cough.

I've been dealing with a bad case of laryngitis all week. It's not the easiest thing trying to work with children all day when you can hardly talk... LOL I know that if I wouldn't/didn't talk so much it would probably already be gone but... I can't shut my mouth for nothing, I'm ALWAYS talking. LOL :biglaugh: I hope you don't get anything awful... Maybe you could head it off by taking some extra Vitamin C... I hope it doesn't amount to too much... take care!! :)

We had meatloaf, mashed potato's, corn and muffin's for our supper tonight. I was going to go to the grocery store and pick up something quick for dessert but by the time I got done working we had a bunch of snow... and I was told it was pretty slippery, so I stayed put. :) None of us really NEEDED a dessert anyway. LOL

Diane...

Didn't end up cooking either. We went out to this little neighborhood Italian place. I had a green salad and the veggie pizza..grilled veggies on pita bread with a little olive oil and grated parmesean on top..yummy!

We wound up having some leftover chicken and dumplings that my granny had made with some corn.
