Leftover hot chicken sandwiches for us. Oldest ds didn't like them, so I'll have to come up with something else for him. :)

Spaghetti here.........
I am departing from the usual macaroni Monday and we are having spaghetti pie, ceasar salad, and garlic bread. I have some ground meat I have to use tonight. Psssttt, don't tell ds.
I have noticed an interesting pattern here. Many of you make seperate meals for the adults and kids. I am guilty of that too. Growing up though, it was not that way. We ate what mom prepared or we went hungry. So my question is why do we do this to ourselves?

I am guilty of making seperate meals for me and Dk's once in awhile when DH is away and working. Like tonight he is working so my oldest DS wants kraft dinner, youngest will have soup and I will probably have a turkey pie and more caesar salad.
I normally don't make something different for my dks unless I'm making something I know they just hate!
Tonight I'm going to grill some steaks on the foreman type grill. Not sure what we will have to go with it though. Probably just as the dks what they want!

Dd eats what we eat 99.9% of the time. The only exception is when dh is working and will miss dinner at home. Then we may eat the same thing or she may get a treat - a tv dinner! She loves those. :)
We're having b-b-cued ribs, biscuits, country fried potatoes, and corn. I've also got a whole dozen eggs that I need to cook up so I think I'll hard boil those tonight and do something with them tomorrow.
Sheryl:)

DKs are having McDonalds.
DH and I ??????
Sometimes we have different food from that kids because quite often, DH doesn't get home till later. We usually prepare something when he gets home.

Like others I'll do it if I know it's something they don't like. Last night ds did try what we were having, so I know he doesn't like it and I'll make him something I know he likes so he's not hungry. :) We need to pick up the Explorer as soon as dh walks in the door so I think dks will get McD's tonight...it's been a while! LOL!

I made ham, baked potato's, corn/pea's, lettuce salad and bread. We had choclate pudding with whip cream and a cherry on top for dessert.
My kids always ate what was cooked for supper and I never ever made them anything different. I ALWAYS made it a point to try to make something we all liked and if they decided that they didn't like something (like a vegetable or something) I just never made a big deal about it. I don't like/eat anything I didn't like so I certainly don't expect them to. :)
