Howdy,
We are coming to Houston for Spring Break. My sister and I and our 5 children. We are going to Build a Bear. (My dd is so excited. She has wanted to do this for a long time!!) We can only stay 1 day. My niece broke her knee and has P.T. 3 times a week and has to get back. (Her doctor said that if she doesn't gain 1o% he has to go back in) Anyway, are there any other things we should do while we are there?? We need to keep it cheap because of the number of children. I did a search on the web and only came up with the children muesumm. HUUMMMM!! Maybe we could hit the BlueBell factory on the way down???

That will be fun. My nephew gave one of those to dd for Christmas. We may do that tomorrow for her birthday. Are you going to the one in the Galleria? Ride the elevator there...there is also ice skating but I don't know how expensive it is. The zoo is wonderful and they just opened up a great new children's section. The downtown tunnel system is really cool to roam around in. I have never done the Blue Bell tour...I need to..might do that with my kids this week. Have lunch at the Rain Forest Cafe at the Katy Mills outlet mall.

MUSEUM OF NATURAL SCIENCE. This excellent museum, also on the grounds of Hermann Park, includes the Baker Planetarium, ****rell Butterfly Center, and Wortham IMAX Theatre, with a six-story-high projection screen. 1 Hermann Circle Dr., PHONE: 713/639-4600. COST: $4 museum, $4 Butterfly Center, $4 Baker Planetarium, $6 IMAX, $16 package ticket Mon-Sat. 9-6.

I knew you would have some great answers. What is the Rain Forest Cafe? And where is the Katy outlet mall? Is it off of I-10? We will be coming down that way.

My dd is so excited about build a bear!! I was reading a flyer and they even have Parties there. What fun!! Happy D-Day to your dd.

Houston Bound!!

The last time I was in Houston......I remember a six flags?? What about a sports type game? You will have to "field" that one AnnW!! LOL Dh and I went ice skating at the galleria but I don't remember the cost. Dh has the best time telling everyone that the first time he ever ice skated was in Texas.

Too funny about your dh Angie! Yep, Six Flags Astroworld.

Kacee..Katy Mills outlet mall "the biggest outlet mall in America" is off I10 just east of Sealy but before you get to Grand Parkway on the south side. We are taking dd to the Rain Forest Cafe tomorrow night for her birthday and doing the build a bear thing (wish you were going to be here tomorrow!) The whole restaurant is set to look like a rain forest, it even has rain storms! It's fun.

You are a day early!! I would love to meet you!! How about picking up our lunch on Tuesday!! Just kidding!! Perhaps someday we shall meet.
I really appreciate all the help you have given me. We shall try the rain forest. Sounds like we have to bring our slickers and umbrellas. What type of food do they serve?? I don't know the time that we shall make it there. We hope to get to Build a Bear early.
Then the rest of the day. We shall see. Perhaps the BlueBell will have to wait for another day. That is if we stay on I-10. Can you believe me daring the Houston Traffic? Tell them to hold the reins there!! LOLOLOL.

Angie R - How funny about your Dh!! My first ice skating was in Texas too!! Isn't Texas a grand place!!
