I am in charge of a "game night" at MOPS. I have several games and bingo to play and wanted to give out prizes. I need some ideas for inexpensive prizes to give to the mom's. Bring it on girls!!!

Scented candles, purse size lotions or anti bacterial gels (Bath and Body Works has some yummy ones!), small picture frames, journal, cute recipe cards, bag of chocolates, nail polish, note cards, .... Or you could do little things they could use with their preschoolers at home, but these wouldn't really be a treat for the moms - playdough, finger paints, activity book with crayons. If I think of anything else I'll let you know. Good luck! :)

I don't want to sound cheap but... if you want a lot of cute/inexpensive prizes... if you have one around you, you might want to try going to a dollar store. They have tons of what Karla mentioned... and more. Just a thought! :)

how bout dollar gift certificates to Starbucks?

On the line of gift certificates you could also get some at McD's. They come in a book of 5 $1's.

Dollar store is a good idea. Gift Certificates are good. Chapters, malls... you could get them stuff from Body works.

What a great idea for the McDonald's certificates! My mops group meets for playgroup at McDonald's every week.

I did get to the dollar store and found lots of neat prizes. I also went to bath and body works and the least expensive item was $2.50 so I didn't get anything there. Not to be cheap, but I am covering the expenses for all the prizes. I am going to try another dollar store and see what else I can find.

Glad the ideas helped!! You don't sound cheap at all. It's hard when it's all out of your pocket - it all adds up so quickly!! Hope you find another dollar store and have more luck there!! :)

When I gave my neice her baby shower I got almost all of my prizes from the dollar store. I was amazed at all the nice little things they had there. I had a blast going through it and I ended up getting WAY too many things... but everybody definitely enjoyed the prizes they got. I'm glad that all the idea's helped you... and hope you find more of what you're looking for. :)
