When you are stressed or want to feel peaceful-what vision do you use?
My favorite is a true happening. Im sitting outside my oceanview suite deck first thing in the morning drinking a hot cup of coffee in a fluffy robe. Dh and I were the first ones awake (6am) and we were remarking how perfect this moment was watching the sun come up and watching the waves.
I use this vision when I feel trapped or landlocked and I love that it was a real moment that I can re-create one day. I also use it when I want to snack on crappy food-It makes me think of bathiung suit weather. LOL
What?? Am I the only one who visualizes?? ROFL!!
ok, no laughing....
I visualize myself diving, like dh and I did when we were first married....feeling the surf moving me, and hearing the ocean....just gets me in a calm mood....
I have used this in traffic...just remembering the sounds....and when I feel trapped with dh's family...[och...don't tell]

Don't visualize, I either sing or dance when I am stressed.

I don't visualize either... LOL I relieve my stress by driving... with the radio turned on way up loud. 8o 8o After I've driven around a little bit, I usually come home feeling a lot better. Of course there are times when I can't just get up and go... so then I just turn the tunes up on my kitchen radio. When I'm stressed though... I like being alone and that's why getting away in the car is so nice. Sometimes I might just drive around... and sometimes I might just drive to the park to walk (which is another stress reliever for me) or to sit and think. I think that just being left totally alone without any interruptions is a great stress reliever. :)

If I am stressed I like to read or listen to music

When stressed I clean, play the piano, sing, or listen to fav music. :)
If I want to feel peaceful I lock myself in the bathroom and take a bath with candles, a glass of wine, and my Enya cd! LOL!

Lately I visualize Cabo. 8)
I try to blank out, focus on listening to my breathing (especially when running), and/or sing praise songs.
