Our pork tenderloin in the crockpot was a BIG hit last night. Dh said he wants it that way from not on instead of on the grill. Made me feel good that he liked it so much.

Tonight we are probably just having hamburger helper. It's brownie night and we leave for that 30 minutes after my last daycare kid leaves. So Friday nights are rushed for us! Anyone else cooking?

My husband took a vacation day today, so it is going to be steaks on the grill, baked potato, salad, and rolls. Hopefully it will be done right as I walk in the door from work!!!!

JAK, I think it's your recipie I'm doing tonight... the beef roast tacos.

I went to the grocery store today and spend a whopping $200!!
OUCH! However, that will last me about 3 months!! I don't do the big shopping very often, so we were overdue. Still hurts, tho.

No cooking here tonight...I am going to take the DK's to the mall and meet DH there when he gets off work. Then Dh and DK's are going shopping, I am not allowed to go.:(

So after DH takes over I am going to go and visit my Mom and Dad for a little while. DH will feed the kids while they are shopping. My Mom and Dad usually eat around 6:00 or so thats when I will be there so I will probably join them. A nice little break for me as I hardly ever see my parents without the kids, so now we will have a nice visit without all the interuptions...lol

I think the brand is Hormel Tender (something) pork tenderloin. We get the salsa flavored one. I put it in the crockpot with a can of Rotel. It was so moist and tender. I shredded it and we had it on flour tortillas with taco fixings (cheese, sour cream, lettuce...)

littlesista- I did do a beef roast in the crock pot once with taco seasoning. It was wonderful as well.

Changed my mind! We are having honey mustard glazed ham steaks, corn and some yummy potatoes...

you take frozen hash browns (not the shredded kind or the patties, the little pieces of potato) add a can of cream of mushroom soup, some sour cream and cheddar cheese. Mix together and bake at 350 for about an hour.

They are so good. Even my ds who loaths potatoes loves them!

Not cooking! :) Dh is leaving for a technology conference tonight and won't be back until tomorrow night. Mom invited us over for Italian beef (roast cooked in the crock pot with a jar of pepperoncini peppers, served on hoagies with MoJack cheese or on tortillas with beans, etc.). I've not actually made a real sit down meal in a while!

I did the cooking tonight. Went to papajohns.com and ordered pizzas and breadsticks and just received an e-mail telling me when it would be here. No being on hold, no asking what the specials were, and I was able to see the toppings etc without asking. Awesome way to order. One less reason to use the phone Yippee!

Ginger baked salmon, beets with balsamic vinagar, sauted beet greens with onions and sundried tomatos and sticky rice. I have no idea what the kids will fix themselves though.

I had my mom with me all day today so... we took her out to one of her favorite Chinese restaurants. I absolutely LOVE not having to cook on a Friday night. :)

Diane...

Put a 1½ - 2 lb. Salmon fillet in a shallow baking dish. Cover with a package of sweat pickled ginger. Add 1 or 2 T minced garlic. Moisen with a bit of soy sause. Bake at 350 degrees until done. I usually cook until I see the moisture leave the the slices of ginger and they start to curl up.

My husband'd not a big salmon fan, but he really likes this.

AnnW- You can get pickled ginger in Asian or fancy natural food stores. The Brand I've had the best luck with is Edan. It's not refrigerated. I found it at Wild Oats next to the soy sause. It also comes jared but I don't like it as well.

Yes, that was my dh. I've known him for over 20 years and he still says things that floor me.
