I did amazing that first week of the Special K way. I didn't cheat, I ate only healthy things. This past week was terrible. I stopped following the special k diet (for a possibility that I was allergic to something I was eating), and from there it went down hill. I haven't exercised once this week :( and I've been eating junk food again :\ To make matters worse, dks brought home two cases of extra large Caramilk bars to sell for school...42 in total (how could I resisit?)
I need your support and motivation to get back on track....start eating healthy, hide those chocolate bars, and get back on the treadmill.

You can do it, Marla!! We all have our moments where we start slacking and let ourselves go. I have had my share of treats and days where I didn't feel like exercising, too, since we started this, so jump back into it! You can do it!! :yippee:
btw - do you still have the rash? :\
The good news is that you jump back in anytime! We all have great moments when we think we finally have it under control and then all of a sudden you lose all intention of doing well.
What is starting to get to me is the fact that this isn't a diet, but a change of eating behaviors. Im not going to deny myself food when I crave it, but make really good decisions when Im not craving something in particular.
I don't know that I am one to give support. I had a bad week too. Keep trying and pat yourself for only allowing it to go on for a week. We are cheering for you!

Ok..you had a bad week, so what? Put it behind you and go on. If you had a particularly rough week with your kids acting up, you wouldn't throw in the towel and stop disciplining them, would you?
I think Amy is right. This is a lifestyle change you are making..that we all are making. It's not about "bad" foods or "good" foods, it's about perspective and being healthy.
today is a new day......can't change yesterday...so here we go today.....clean slate...no beating yourself up.....

MM! We all have the urge to eat something loaded with fat and calories. I just give in from the start. rather than try to satisfy my desire by eating everything else in sight until I finally can't resist any longer. I needed chocolate the other night. I enjoyed a bite size snickers without guilt. I rewarded myself for a week good eating and exercise habits. Now, I'll be ok until next weekend ;-). Good luck Marla and keep up the good work. ßß!
PS I finally lost a few more pounds. 4 since October. Yeah ME!

I did awful last week, too. I was sick all week, so there was no way I was eating Special K! And wasn't up to exercising.... it's ok, like everyone has said, we all have good and bad days/weeks. I'm going to start back exercising this evening. I'm exited to get back into it! I was so motivated until I started feeling puny! I don't think I'm going to do the Special K thing, though. I'll probably eat it for breakfast, but I've learned a lot in that one week about eating good stuff and am going to make myself stick to it!
We can do!!! As long as we've got each other for motivation!! We're all pretty lucky to have this many people spurring us on!!
GO US!!!!!!!!!!! :lol:
