I decided it was time to set some goals and actually put them in writing. I wrote down my next twelve weeks of running. It doesn't cover eating or cross training or mood, but I figure I will take it one step at a time. These goals may be a bit lofty but am prepared and know that I will have to make modifcations along the way. My main purpose was to get them in writing so I would have some accountability. I have other columns too but they wouldn't all fit. I am going to track weight, actual vs. projected goals too. Here are the next two weeks.

I have a routine of 30 minutes 6 days a week (sunday off) on the Ellipse....or machine from He*&....LOL....

Monday, Wed. and Friday I try to use the Torso Track for 15 minutes....thats hard on my abs...but I am getting better at it....

so far since January 8th I have lost a total of 11 pounds...feel great...but its hard work...I haven't really cheated...although I have treated myself to dinner out a few times....I am drinking alot of water...which I think helps....

this is a great forum...thanks Lesters....:)

Is that running or walking, Jeff? Good pace..wish I could still run!
:(

I stretch for 10 minutes every am before I walk on the treadmill and then 10 minutes after. I do a short set of crunches and pushups. On the treadmill with my hand weights, I do various sets of arm lifts. I walk between 2-6 miles per time, changing my pace from 3.8 (but that is getting easy) up to 4.9..any faster and I have to run which is not good for me. I have an aerobic calculator on mine, and according to my weight and goal, I should average an 8 per workout.
I try to do a series of stretches at night.

Running. I think I am going to do some walking at night though. I can't get over 4.0 walking and that is pretty tough for any period of time. Running seems to work better for me from a cardio standpoint and walking seems to work the muscles better.

Looks like a great schedule.

I started back on the treadmill today :yippee: and felt really good after. I hope I am going to get back into the routine that I go on the treadmill at least 5 times a week.

Do a lot of "floor" work too, ab crunches, leg lifts, squats etc.

ah much better. My original post is no longer a link now. Thanks David :D. Now I can give weekly updates in a table format and whoever is interested won't have to open another window to see it.
