Hello! We are in for a "high" of 50 today. I am thinking of setting out the pool for the kids, not. rofl Dh spread fertilizer and crabgrass preventer on the lawn this morning since we are supposed to have 2 days of rain starting in a few hours.
We are going to McDonald's Playplace in an hour for playgroup. You know, because we don't have enough Chirpie/Meow/Poochie Chi's. This week is a fast crazy one, but I am looking forward to the weekend. Friday I am going to the Flower and Patio Show with my mother. Saturday we are going to see "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" with Ann Margaret.
Have a great day, dd is pulling on my arm for applesauce!!!
Hi all!
Kathy Im so glad you had a nice vacation. Im the kind of person who has to have at least three major vacations a year. I have had goose egg since we moved here! :( I guess I'll look forward to Cape Cod in June!! :) :)
I actually worked my tail off this whole weekend. My neighbors (also my employers) have sucked me into their chaos of trying to build a new office building and getting customer service to a higher level. In the course of a hour meeting, I took on much more responsibility than I wanted. I now get to train their staff--the three non-blondes. LOL Should be interesting. Its nice to know Im finally putting my major to use after all this time.
Not much else happening today. Two days ago we had 60 degree weather and today there is snow on the ground. No wonder my family can't get healthy.
Dh leaves in 16 days. Part of me is excited, the other is mortified of being totally responsible for the kids, house, bills and cleaning up the dog and cat poop in the yard! ROFL!

Dh and I got up early this morning to clear the snow from the driveway/sidewalk. I finished with our's and Dh went on to do two of the neighbor's driveways for them too... so he came in all wet and full of snow. LOL Not exactly a nice way to start out a Monday morning. It must have been me you heard yelling for SPRING, Kathy... I've really had it with this stuff. LOL
So far I'm having a pretty slow day... not even half of my kids are here yet. I had a bunch out sick last week (stomach flu I guess) and one even ended up in the hospital on an IV. I know of two who won't be here today because I sent them home on Friday and they still aren't feeling any better. Anybody else been sick with the flu? I'll be glad when it's gone... done and over with. I feel fortunate with so much of it going around here that I haven't gotten it yet either. (Knock on wood)
Anyway, dd's coming over pretty soon to help watch the kids for me while I go and do my grocery shopping. I usually do it Monday evening but seeing I've got a meeting tonight, I probably wouldn't get another chance to get to it until at least Wednesday night... and I definitely can't wait that long. So, hope you all have a great day... take it easy and, don't work too hard. :)
Morning! We are on spring break here, I slept till 7:30 this am!! Kids are still asleep. We are going to the Build a Bear Workshop today and then out to dinner tonite to celebrate dd's birthday...I can't believe my baby is 7!!!!!!!
It's supposed to be about 78 here today.
Diane, yikes about the child having to go to the hospital! How sweet of your dh to do your neighbors' driveways.
Amy..good lord you little type A personality..slow down!!! LOL Glad you are having fun. Are these the nice neighbors or the "bad" neighbors?
Angie..have you seen BLWT? It's really cute..it happened not far from here. I remember when it happened. Do you know ZZTops song "LaGrange"? that about it.
Kathy..it's hard getting back to reality isn't it?
Well, I am off to Physical Therapy, I had to cancel last friday because of the foot of snow....snowed here again on Sunday, was actually nice on saturday....ds is at school and dd is getting her sesame street fix....Slow morning for me, I am in some pain today and don't feel like doing the laundry or anything else for that matter...boo hoo....the way I am looking at it it that it will all be here when I get home from Physical therapy....
AnnW, gee I can't believe your dd is 7 already, I think she was just 4 when I started coming here....LOL...oh my....how time flies....
I hear you all with the snow, its supposed to rain here tonight, which means it will be around 45 degrees out, then mid week we will get freezing rain and snow again...I wish it would stop....I'm really getting tired of it....
hope everyone has a fulfilling day....

to your dd! I can't believe she's 7 years old either. Time sure does fly, doesn't it? Have fun at your Build a Bear Workshop today, (what exactly is it???) and also out to eat tonight. It sounds like she's got a fun day in store for her today.
AnnW, I'm SOOOOooo envious of your 78 degree weather... PLEASE send some my way!!!! LOL It's only about 24 degrees here today and windy. Definitely not the kind of weather you want to go out and spend too much time in. LOL
Renee, good luck at physical theropy today. I hope you come home feeling much better. Sounds like your weather is as bad as ours.
Amy, it sounds like you're actually having a lot of fun with your new project... I'm sure everything will turn out very well. You must feel very good knowing that you've still got what it takes... Good luck with it!
Where is your dh going? I don't envy you having the full responsibility of everything... especially the cat/dog poop. Ugh!!! How long is he going to be gone? I hope for not too long. :)
angie, have fun at McDonalds and especially at the Flower and Patio show... that sounds like it would be a lot of fun! (I love going to things like that)
Hope everybody has a great day!!!

Sounds like everyone had good weekends and busy/fun days ahead! I went thru all of our toys this weekend and reorganized - wow, what a job! LOL! And, we finally got a border put up in our room and I love it! It is snowing here today - so much for my hopes of seeing grass soon! LOL!
Diane - are you guys still getting snow? I think I heard we are supposed to get 5-8 inches? Lots of schools closed around here, but not us. :( It's nice that your dd will help out with your dc so you can get out. I used to do that for my mom, but haven't for a while now.
Ann - Happy bday to your dd. They sure grow up fast! Have fun celebrating with her! :)
Have a good day everyone!

Yes, it's STILL snowing!!! We HAD everything plowed out this morning but looking at it now you wouldn't know we'd done anything. As a matter of fact I think we have more now than we did then... LOL I wish it would just melt and go away!!! :)

Happy bday to your dd!! And yes, getting back to reality is hard, lol! However, having the house all to myself for an hour is bliss!

I hear you on the vacation thing, it is so important to us, particularly to dh who literally needs to "get away" and relax. The skiing was very relaxing, didn't have a phone in the room and dh's cell phone was out of range. He really did kick back, it was great. We will be going to PEI for a week in August and then disneyworld in November, so I guess I get my 3 trips in this year - hope you do too!
Thanks for the good wishes..I can't believe how the time has flown by here either, actually when I first started coming here she was just turning 3!!!! Amazing!
Build a bear is a place that you can make teddy bears (they have them all over) here is the link http://www2.buildabear.com/

We took the boys to Build a Bear before we went to a hockey game in December. They had a great time. Zach made an army bear and Jay made a cowboy bear. We thoroughly enjoyed it. I love the atomosphere of Rainforest Cafe just not the food or the price. Enjoy your day. Are you taking extra little girls or just dd?

Good morning everyone. Bright and sunny here with 6 new inches of snow on the ground. I share in the sentiment that it is time for spring.

Yea, the food is ok, but the experience is neat. DH and DS have not been yet. We are taking one other little girl and then she is going to spend the night. Build a bear was so much fun!

I saw Build a Bear when I was in Chicago recently. Just how much does it cost? It looks like fun, but I don't think this house could house another stuffed animal!!
Playplace was fun today and the kids were exceptionally good. Dd is napping now and the boys are watching a movie. Dh has decided he wants crepes for dinner so off to the kitchen I go!!

The bear/animals themselves range in price from $10 - 30. Then you can add sound in for $3, 5 or 10...then if you want to buy it clothes it costs more. Since the kids were being really good and we were all having fun, I let them pick sound, clothes the whole works...our bears ended up being about $35 a piece.

I am glad you had fun. What kind of bears did your dks choose?
DS picked a monkey that he dressed in camo gear and put a laugh noise inside and named it "tickle me monkey"
DD picked a pony that she dressed in a confirmation outfit with a neighing sounds and named it A L I Y. LOL

Hi all. Another 3cm of snow supposed to fall overnight here! I am sick of this winter already. The worst of this time of year is the lousy highway conditions. We heard yesterday that a twenty eight year old from our town was killed in a highway accident due to slippery conditions. This morning was terrible when we found out that she was one of the grade 6 teachers from the school that our kids go to.
Not a pleasant day around our town to say the least.

How sad about the teacher's death! :( It's always so sad to hear news like that. Thoughts and prayers are with your community!
