What's on the table tonight? We are having BBQ pork chops on the Foreman grill, mashed potatoes and corn (or maybe salad).

The breakfast thing sounded like fun so we are doing that tonight. Blueberry pancakes, bacon , and whatever else we can find at the store.

Dks have a program tonight, so they will just have macaroni and cheese. I have a Camping Conference tonight (and Saturday too), so I'll just grab a quick salad at home. Dh will be on his own for dinner tonight.

We're having Tuna Helper. Yahoo....not!! LOL But it's a no meat day, as are the next 6 Fridays. I always get a lot of grumbling about meatless meals....except cheese pizza. The only one who complains then, is my dad. He usually gets an omelet.....I actually make pretty good omelets. It's one of my (very limited) cooking strengths. LOL

I'm totally convinced......now could you convince the people who eat here?? My dad is the worst--if it's not meat, potato, and vegetable, it isn't really dinner. I shouldn't even mention it, because there are times when I'M bored by his dinners, and I'm only cooking them. He's not a bad sport really. And he is the one person besides me, that will eat seafood. I usually do some shrimp or scallops for the 2 of us at least one of the Fridays.

ROFL! My inlaws are like that too. DH was for the longest time. I keep trying to tell him, CEREAL is a great dinner! ;) One benefit of being from here is all the great Mexican food, and most of it is meatless. I love shrimp, but have never cooked scallops, seems like they can taste so rubbery if you mess up. Any good recipes or suggestions?

ROFLWTIME. That's the funniest thing anyone ever said to me. You cracked up my oldest dd, too. I can boil water, make ice, and I do a mean PBJ, without written instructions. When I say I DO scallops, I mean I know where to buy them cooked!! Thanks for the vote of confidence, though. You made my day.

Well, I am glad I could bring a little sunshine into your day!!!!

So, you can buy cooked scallops? I didn't know that! You eat them cold? I have always had them in a pasta dish or hot with much garlic and butter....see...tell your dd, that you can teach/talk about cooking!!!!!

I made-
beef burgundy
noodles
homemade bread
jello fruit salad
tossed salad
chocolate pie
And then I took it to the neighbors. She had a breast biopsy today so I said I'd feed them. Little did I know the WHOLE family was there at dinnertime. Guess they all got a little of everything.

Dd and I had frozen pizza - not quite the same...... esp. when it still smelled like beef burgundy in the kitchen!!! lol
