I can't believe this is the 3000th post. It is only fitting it goes out to AnnW, who, by the way, has more than 10% of the total posts to her own name!!

How was the meeting with ds's teachers? I may have missed the post on it?

Aw well, gee thanks for the honor!! LOL

Did I not post about it? SEE...I don't post ALL the time!!!! LOL
It went fantastic!! It went great!!!!! This teacher is FANTASTIC!!!! She took total control of this meeting, and I gathered from the way she talked this was not unusual at all! She really asked DS questions to make sure he understood what she said, gave him alot of ownership and
responsibility for correcting the situation. Told him that we are all special and have gifts and that just cause you are smart doesn't mean that you are a good person or that you will be a success. I kept sitting there thinking "I LOVE YOU!!!!!!" the whole time she was talking!!!
He does have alot anger pent up about DD and I am going to work harder to make sure she is not bothering him when his friends are over...that really kills him!
I have already seen a huge difference in him and he seems more aware of his behavior now too.

GREAT news about your ds and his teacher!!! That can make a world of difference and it may have sunk in a little more hearing that stuff from his teacher. Not that he doesn't respect you, but sometimes parents just don't know anything anymore as kids reach his age! LOL! Hope things continue to improve. :)

I'm happy to hear that the meeting went well. It's nice that he's got such of a wonderful teacher. I agree that when it's coming from somebody else... kids tend to listen better. I hope it helps and things continue to improve. :) Thanks for letting us know how the meeting went.

Yep, they really do seem to listen better to others sometime. Thanks, I was really pleased with the whole thing.
