Do you have "one just like YOU"

remember when our mothers would say "oh I hope you have one just like you." well I do...my mother is laughing all through heaven :angel:.......ds is me, he looks like me, and unfortunetly he is stubborn and explosive like me.....we butt heads alot, but we are also close...does that make sense?

dd is very layed back most of the time, like her dad...but has alot of my Stubborness too....:p

So do you have one just like you?:D

Good question Renee. My older ds is defiantely more me. I am told all the time that he looks more like me. He is the "perfect" student in school, all the teachers love him, and he does very well (just like I did). He is very caring and sensitive (used to be overly sensitve , like me, but has gotten better at it).

Youngest ds has been told that he looks more like my husband. Luckily he has taken after me scholastically (does very well so far in school, and very well behaved, the teachers love him) , dh was never really into school. Although youngest ds is also very caring and sensitive, he has a little bit of a more aggressive streak to him, especially when wrestling with my dh.

Oh boy, is dd ever like me!!! I'm definitely getting paid back!! LOL
She looks just like me, even thinks pictures of me when I was young are actually pictures of her!!
But, we're both stubborn and can be quick-tempered at times. At the same time, caring and sensitive and feel it when others feel bad.

Did you ever think you'd really have one just like you? Good thing is, I know all the teenage tricks, so she won't be getting away with much!!!!

I think that there is a little bit of me in every one of my dd's... but especially my youngest dd. Although we look nothing alike... we are SOOOOO alike. Our personalities are the same... were both very sensative/caring and extremely responsible/dependable LOL :). We have the same taste in clothes... and we both absolutely love/ADORE children. My oldest dd also doesn't look like me (although some say she does) she does a lot of the same things I do... and we "think" a lot alike. She's very ambitious and always strives to do her best. My middle dd is probably a lot less like me than any of them but... like me, she tends to "go off" when something makes her mad/angry, but she's always quick to forgive and forget. Unlike me... she doesn't like to show her emotions and sensative side. VERY reluctant to SAY she loves/cares about you... but she "shows" it in a lot of other ways. She's terribly lazy when it comes to helping around the house... you have to ASK/TELL her several times before you get any results. LOL I'm ALWAYS doing something, always busy. She's not lazy with her work at work... OR with her schooling... just things that she doesn't want/LIKE to do LOL It's funny how alike and unalike they can be... LOL

I was always told God gives you the babies you are supposed to have, and I guess I need a pay back! LOL My mom howls over some of my dd stories. Her mischeivousness is alledgedly like mine at her age (I don't believe it for a minute!!! LOL)
DS's creative streak is alot like mine, the way he sees the world.

DD#1 is so much like me it scares me.
Ds#1 is dh
dd#2&3 a bit of a combo
ds#2 his own little man, although I see a bit of dh in his eyes and smile.

Ds #1 is very much like me....kind of "emotional" and sensitive. He's cautious to try new things, and likes to please people. Ds #2 is more like my dh. He's a go-getter....not overly emotional when upset...VERY outgoing (this is more like me than dh, but very different than ds #1)...gets in more trouble than ds #1 ;) . Funny when you think about it, ds #1 and I are more alike...but ds #2 is my cuddle up/ Mommy's boy kid.

And she has my horrible eating habits. My mom just loves it when I complain to her about getting DD to eat.

But I refuse to make her sit at the table for hours like my parents did to me.

I am hoping she will grow out of this!!

:( Our oldest dd is just like me. The bad points, unfortunately... or at least that's all I can see. Ds is just like dh, which I love, and dd2 is totally her own person. :)
