Ok, now that both dd and I are over our ailments, it's time to get back on track with exercising and eating better! I bought a whole bunch of fruits and veggies at the grocery this weekend and have just finished slicing and dicing, getting them ready for a quick grab when I'm hungry! And I finally exercised again!! :) 50 crunches, 25 each side crunches, leg lifts, stretches and 60 reps on the cardio glide. Whew 8o !!! I've got to make myself stick with it this time. I'm not going to do the Special K diet, though. I'll probably eat some for breakfast, but I'm going to do healthy lunch, dinner and snacks. Wish me luck!!
And, good luck to everyone who's exercising and eating healthier! :D

I've also decided not to do the Special K diet. I will have some for breakfast now and again, but I just can't handle eating it for two meals a day. I decided to just eat sensibly, exercise and drink a LOT of liquids. I've been dieting for a week now and I already feel SO much better. Good luck to you and all of the other's here who are dieting and exercising.
Diane...

I've done well today!! Ate healthy stuff for all meals and snacked on fruits and veggies! Just finished my exercise regimen. Feeling good!!!!
We can do it!! All of us together!! It helps me to think about you guys durning the day and tell myself "Marla wouldn't be eyeing that candy bar" or Renee is probably exercising right now, and doing more than me" or "Diane's drinking her water"!!!!! I am actually really good about drinking lots of water every day, fortunately, that's one thing that's not a struggle for me!!! I have a big cup that measures 64 oz. and I fill it up about 4-5 times a day while at work. I just wish water would fill me up the way the experts say it's supposed to. The only thing that gets full is my bladder!!!
Another day down!! I think I can, I think I can!!! One day at a time and we'll succeed!!!!!!
Keep it up, ladies!!! We're doing great!!

Now wait just a cotton-pickin' minute! Why's everybody ganging up on me?!!!! Ann and Karla.... I didn't see you posting anything except wah wah whining!!! What are your accomplishments for the past few days?!!!! :biglaugh:
Let's try this again:
"Gee, I bet Ann is on her treadmill right now pretending my face is under her feet"
or
"Hmm wonder if Karla put my face on her punching bag"
Is that better?!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahaha!! :D
Now, for the important stuff! I did 20 minutes of brisk walking at work today. 4 times around the building at 5 minutes per lap. I have no idea the distance, but who cares! Just so I'm getting some exercise!! I'm getting ready to put dd to bed, then I'll do my regular exercise regimen. Oh yeah... are you sitting down? I actually did 40 reps on the cardio glide this morning before I went to work... that NEVER happens! I am NOT a morning person!!
I'm really proud of myself!!!
Oh, I get it now...we were supposed to be encouraging YOU!!!!!!!!! Even though you said "It helps me to think about you guys durning the day" and didn't add "oh only just a FEW of you guys that is"!!!!!!!! but ....ok...
great job, keep up the good work, you can do it, hang in there, feel the burn, margarita's are good (just threw that in to see if you were still reading), can't think of any more sports cliches............. LOL
I love all these threads they help me to stay on track even though I have given up exercising and eating right until all these damn girl scout cookies are gone (which should be tomorrow!!! LOL)

Geez, some people are sooooooo slow! It's about time you figured it out!!!!!!!!! :biglaugh:
Now, about those girl scout cookies... if you'd mail each of us who are participating in this forum a cookie, you'd be that much better off, now wouldn't you? That's why this forum was started, for support. So send us your cookies and allow us to support you, dammit!
You keep it up, too!! You've been doing great!!
Let's see now, one cookie per person at the postal rate of $.38..how many in a box??? Well, gosh, that would certainly be an EXPENSIVE lesson in restraint now wouldn't it!!! LOL
