Do you ever have those moments of clarity when you think losing weight would be so easy? All you have to do is eat a less food and make healthy choices. I have those once in awhile and I think losing weight is such an easy concept.

Then the fog comes back....... LOL I find myself going through dk's candy and looking to gorge myself.

What do you do to keep your moments of clarity from becoming a fog again?

You are too deep for me! LOL

OK, I know all the right things to do, are you asking how do I stay on track? I dunno! LOL willpower exerted in tiny doses??

Yes I do know what you are talking about and I didn't have one of those while running today. It was hard and I am in pain LOL. One way I hang on to clarity when losing it, is to take a nap. I have noticed when I get tired (whether I am aware I am tired or not) all willpower, drive, etc. goes out the window.

I try to keep those things which I know are bad for me :( out of my house....as for the kids snack Luckily they like some things I don't...

will power is hard....loosing weight in concept does sound easy...but when I am loosing the battle...I remember the 10 pounds I have already lost...and that inspires me.....I hope...but it seems to be taking a long time :) must be hitting a platue....:(

:), I know what you mean! After I had my baby, I had put on a whopping 70 lbs, ?( ... I thought that it would be so easy because before I was pregnant, I was fit and ate healthy. Man it has been so hard:{
My husband, our son and I have come to Taiwan to teach english for a couple of years. I am finally starting to lose the weight, but only after really eating properly and rethinking things. My husband has lost 30 lbs, where I have only lost 15 lbs. At least it is a start. Take care and thanx, 8)

One of the few times I had clarity is when I was pregnant! LOL I ate healthy and exercised 5x's a week KNOWING that it would be really hard to take it off after the pregnancy. Thankfully, I always got into pre-baby shape within 4 weeks of giving birth. My fog came when I was breastfeeding! LOL I got into the habit of eating anything/anytime and knowing that I was still losing weight. Once the breastfeeding stopped, I was in shock. All those bad eating habits have stuck! LOL

Very cool about teaching in Taiwan! Where do you hail from originally?

I agree with you on the breastfeeding! I think that you are in such a sleepless fog that by the time you figure out what the problem is that, boom, big hips! lol At least that is the way for me. I am 20-30 pounds lighter after giving birth than before I get pregnant. I am going to really concentrate on it this time because I know it is where I fall.

Amy - When you get into that fog...just pop in a good cd and motivate yourself to get moving :wiggle: ....away from the candy.

Ironic you say that Angie!! I just got 2 brand new cd's that Im in love with!! I plan on using them today while Im on the treadmill! LOL

Seriously, stay VERY conscious of your eating habits while breastfeeding! I tried with ds, but he was sensitive to what I ate, so I got into strange eating habits. One of the saddest is I got out of the habit of drinking tons of milk/dairy. Both my kids had horrible gas when I drank milk.
