View Full Version : Ideas for sea animal party, please

My ds id turning 7 and would like a party at home with an under sea theme. It is going to be after school and we'll be serving dinner for 7 1st graders. Can anyone suggest some games or crafts or decorations. Thanks :)

This is just an idea, but what if you tried to find some of the Little Mermaid decorating stuff that is boyish. You could also have a treasure hunt. You could also have them do a lobster walk race. If I think of anything else, I will let you know.

Oriental Trading Company has lots of ocean crafts and decorations. I like Leigh's suggestion of the lobster walk race -- something physical to run off some energy.

The lobster races do seem like fun.

I have some ideas for an under the sea theme.

Is this going to be done at home?

Get blue tissue paper and decarate the walls making it look like water, get some crabs, lobsters, starfish and place them around the room. You can even do a treasure hunt and play games like find the seahorse or find the starfish etc. You can even get a few starfishes and mark one with a star and whoever finds that one wins a prize.

I also have a really cute cake recipe that I received from a mail order recipe book. It is Sooo cute and looks easy to make for me (and I am definiteley not a baker) I could send you a photocopy or I can try to scan it and send it to you.

Yes, It's going to be a sea animal pizza party. DS doesn't like cake so much so he's got me talked into making cinamon rolls for dessert. I like your ideas for decorations. :)
