It was 20 degrees, it was dark, the water line on my water bag was frozen, frost covered my hat and gloves by the time I was done, and afterwards I was steaming all over (literally steam was coming off my body), but I still did it and had more left in me to go faster and further.

I ran 14 miles this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also I am down one pound from last saturday, so I am at 196. After the run I was down more than that but that would be cheating.

:yippee: Way to go! :yippee:

You are much braver than I to go out and run in 20 degree weather. It's much to icy around here to even go for a walk without busting your a$$! LOL I can't wait for spring! :)

Pretty impressive workout, Jeff. I also loved your description--I felt like I was right there..........well, without the ice and steam. LOL

hahaha...I typically sweat out more than I take in so I usually don't have that issue. I always come back with a fair amount left in the camel especially when the line is slushy and its more exercise to get the water out than it is to run.

Its a brand of backpack or fannypack that holds a waterbag with a long tube so you can hydrate easily.

AnnW-the brand name for the water backpack is called a Camelbak.

Littlesista-my dh has the "Mule" one. We gave my Dad a smaller version for x-mas last year and he loved it. Can't remember the name.

Go to:

http://www.rei.com and enter camelbak in the search engine. They have a really good list of the styles and sizes.

here is the link for the one I have--Thanks Amy!!! I really like the side cinch compression on it. As you drink you can easily reach down and tighten the straps while running and it keeps the load snug so it isn't bouncing up and down.
