I am glad to know that there are others out there cooking tonight. I made a pot roast yesterday, so today will be a sheppard's pie made with the left-over meat.

Right now, I have 30 mins till lunch time. I am so starving. I ordered a baked potato from the cafeteria. The other choices were hot dog, or sauage wrap.

Now, If I could just keep my fingers out of this candy dish behind me. The teacher has a jar with kisses in it. It is so tempting.
I all ready had 3. I will not eat more. If I do....

What consequence shall I impose?????

I'm making some pork chops, baked potato and a green bean casserole. My mom gave me a recipe she got from my other sister called "skinny shake" for dipping the chops in. My dh isn't real thrilled about pork chops... so I'm hoping that he'll like these. If not... he can have a hot dog or something. LOL

I'm going to have to try Amy/Co's chicken lasagna some night... it sounds really good, as does the pot roast. LOL I've got a lot of new recipes to try out. :)

Diane...

I hope you like it Jen! If your kids like Brocolli, I add a layer or two of chopped frozen Broccoli into it also. My kids don't like it, so I stopped adding it inside and now serve green beans on the side or something.

I also love everyone's recipes here! The only problem, is that dh isn't into casserole type dishes anymore. If it has cream of something in it-he isn't interested. :( The lasagna dish is the only thing he likes.

Our thing now is to marinate the heck out of it and grill it! LOL

Any good marinade recipes?? I have a good terriaki one and use Italian dressing on my chicken.

You'll love it. We did. Dh and I are having slim line soup with corn muffins, and ds of course will have macaroni & cheese. It's all rainy and foggy here today with a cold front moving in so the soup sounded good to me.

Dh got home from practice early, so he ended up making spaghetti and I didn't even have to ask (maybe he's still feeling guilty about having a full night's sleep Friday when I was up all night?? ;) ) Anyway, I loved having another night off from cooking!! :D

I roasted a chicken, hash brown potatoes, broccoli/cauliflower/carrots. Brichard wants me to make chicken salad out of the leftover chicken.

My dks LOVE broccoli- but I don't have any in the house! I'll try that next time.

One of my favorite marinates for chicken in by Lawry's (in the bottle, usually in the store by the BBQ sauce). It's the garlic and herb one. SO GOOD! It's making my mouth water just thinking about it. We treid it on beef once, but didn't like it as much as we did on the chicken.

Dh had chili cheese dogs using leftover chili. I had regular cheese dogs without the chili.
