Trying to come up with fun ideas for my ds' b-day

....and looking for your input! I'm having his classmates over to our house for his b-day in April (yea...I'm thinking ahead!). I want to play a bunch of fun regular old party games. I know of Pin the Tail on the Donkey, Musical chairs, Hot Potato, Bingo, but I'm hoping to add some more games to my list. Ds is turning 6, and most of the guests are children who are also in my kdg. class. I hate to duplicate any activities that we do in school, so I'm looking for cute, quick party ideas. So far, there isn't a "theme" to this party.

How fun!

My mom used to have fun parties and lots of games for us dks growing up....we were just talking about them this wknd. In addition to the ones you mentioned we also did a clothespin drop, passing cottonballs on a spoon (team relay type game), and passing an orange neck to neck. I'll let you know if I think of any more. Oldest ds thinks he might want a friend party in April, so I'll have to steal ideas from you. :)

OH OH OH!!!! This one is so fun!! We did it at dd's party last week.

Ok - put 2 kids facing each other (sit in chair)
blindfold them
give them each a bowl of mini marshmallows and tell them they have to feed each other from the other person's bowl.
It was hilarious! They had a great time.

Ok... blow up balloons and tie them to the kid's ankles and tell them they have to pop someone else's balloon w/out getting theirs popped - and no fair stepping on toes!

There are so many cool themes as well as games out there. You can do a Safari Party, Construction Party, Pirate Party (just had a friend of mine do this - the adults had more fun I think tho :lol: )

Plus you can change the old time games with whatever the theme would be too - like - Hot Potato - Pass the construction cone or pass an inflatable monkey. Pin the tail on the donkey can be pin the monkey on the tree or pin the patch on the pirate. You can also change the musical chair game around to musical hats etc.
