Egg Donation

I was wondering what you all thought of this, more women are deciding to have thier families later in life, some of these women are doing this well into thier fifties....and using donor eggs....I got to thinking that this could be potentially wierd, what if you gave some eggs for donation....had your own children, these children meet and fall in love years later, and have children of thier own? doesn't that scare anyone else? just curious...watched a program this morning on it and it had me thinking thats all.

I used to also wonder what would happen if I met my bio brother and married him, not knowing! Surely the chances are too rare to even consider it a problem? I don't know! Kinda creeps me out a bit. :0)

Isn't the same thing possible with adoption? Or with sperm donation? Wasn't there a case where a doctor substituted his sperm in place of the fathers and various donors. I would think that is much more likely that way then through egg donation since so few eggs are harvested at a given time. For that matter you could have two couples where the wife is having an affair with the other husband. The kids grow up and get married.
I think it has always been a potential problem but not enough of one to really worry about. The main problem for this hypothetical couple would be genetics for their children. With smaller families and as often as people move even that will be less of a problem. Now if they were to ever realize they were related THAT could be a problem. It's a really creepy thought.
