I received this recipe Friday to make on St. Patrick's Day because it is supposed to turn out green. I haven't tried it yet because I just received it, but I thought that I would share it with all of ya'll, in case anyone else wanted to try it.
Lime Cake
Ingredients
1 lemon cake mix
3/4 cup vegetable oil
5 eggs
1 box lime jello
1 cup orange juice or limeade
Directions
Add all ingredients to mixing bowl, and beat on low speed for two minutes. (do not overbeat) Grease 13x9 inch bake pan and pur in batter. Bake for 30-35 minutes at 350 degrees. make sure it is completely cool before frosting.
Frosting
Ingredients
8 ounces softened cream cheese
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 pound confectioners' sugar
Directions
Mix cream cheese, butter, and vanilla in mixer. Add sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Spread thickly over the top of the cake. Decorate with green sprinkles.
