Our neighbors are bringing a pot over for dinner tomorrow so we invited them to stay and eat.

What would be good to serve with it?
I was thiking a green salad or fruit salad and raw veggies plus a basket of breads/rolls.....

Hot bread and a salad with lots of fun things in it like mushrooms, artichokes, olives, hearts of palm, maybe even some sliced squash would do it for me too!

I had never ever heard of "hearts of palm" before so I did a search to find out exactly what it was you were talking about... LOL Very interesting! :) You must like them or you wouldn't be recommending them... what do they taste like? I don't think I've ever seen them in a grocery store... so where do you buy them, and if they are in a grocery store... where exactly would they be found? Thanks......

In case you've never heard of them either... here's the site. :)

never have? you can find them in the canned veggie aisle near the artichokes and mushrooms. To be honest they don't have much of a taste alone, but mixed with other greens, veggies and salad dressing, they add a nice texture to a salad..sort of like how water chestnuts have more crunch than flavor.
