I started to see some results from all of this torture! I've lost 6 pounds since Feb. 26th. I can't believe it! I try not to go by the scale, but since I'm not noticing a difference in the way my clothes fit, I'll take anything I can get at this point!!

Just thought I'd share! Hope you all are doing GREAT!!!

Amy....what does your typical day entail (food, exercise etc.)?

I did so good when we did the Special K way, probably because I knew I was posting it and everyone was comparing their days.

Maybe I need someone to say "Marla....what's up today ? " :\

Thanks, Jeff!

Marla,
Here's what's been working for me... I sort of try to go by the Weight Watchers points thing, but if I go over, it doesn't bother me too much, I just try to do some extra exercise.

Breakfast has been 2 pkgs. of Quaker Instant oatmeal
then a banana
then an apple
then a cucumber
then lunch of maybe a salad w/ a slice of fat-free cheese, cut up, a slice of lean turkey and lean ham (lunch meat), cucumbers and fat-free Italian dressing. And a peanut butter and spreadable fruit sandwich (I use that Polaner all-fruit).
Then an orange or 2!
Then dinner of a turkey hot dog w/ 99% fat-free turkey chili w/ beans, coleslaw and mustard.
Sugar-free fudgecicles for dessert!!!

I have this HUGE appetite! And boy, does it show by me listing out what I eat everyday!!

Some alternate lunch and dinner things are a PBJ (as listed above) with either light Pringles or Reduced fat Triscuits, or a Smart Ones cheese pizza.

For dinner, one night I cut up an eggplant into cubes, beat an egg white w/ 2 tbsp. water, dipped the eggplant into the egg white, then coated in Italian flavor bread crumbs and baked, served w/ peas. Marinated boneless, skinless chicken breasts and yellow squash, zucchini, green pepper and red onion in Dale's seasoning, then baked. That was very yummy! I usually make those things into skewers and grill, but time was short that night!

I've been trying to stick to the same foods, I don't know if it makes a difference or not!!! I've been keeping fruits and veggies on hand at all times and only let myself snack on those when I get hungry. I think that's been the biggest difference for me... seeing as how I'm an all day muncher and would eat tons of junk food! Now, it's healthy stuff!!

Good luck, Marla. You can do it! If the Special K thing was working for you, go back to it, or modify it a little bit to meet your needs. Whatever it takes!!!

Oops, forgot about the exercise part to the question! Can you tell my focus is on food!! :biglaugh:

I try to at least get in 50 crunches in the morning, or 60-90 reps on my cardio glide. Then, at work, I walk briskly for 20 minutes (have no idea how far, but I'm getting a pedometer to tell me that and how many calories I burn), then 50 crunches, 30 each side crunches, 25 butt lifts, hamstring stretches, and 20 each inner and outer thigh leg lifts.

Then, at home in the evenings, 50 crunches, 30 each sides crunches, hamstring stretches, 25 butt lifts, 20 each inner and outer thingh leg lifts, with 5 lb weights, I do 20 each forward and backward arm circles, and various arm exercises, usually 20 in each position. I've also started putting the 5 lb weights on my ankles and doing step-ups on my bottom stair. And, a couple of days a week, I do a lite aerobics tape or go to the Y and swim laps and tread water.
Geez, I'm really tired reading all that!!! But it really doesn't seem like a lot at the time. And I've really begun enjoying exercising!!! Plus, the bathing suit thing looming in the ever-nearer future REALLY helps motivate me!!!!

Amy that sounds great.

I just went out and bought the stuff for the protein shake...I'm going to try that once a day, and just keep a supply of fruits and veggie on hand.

Went for a 30 minute brisk walk just now...feels good :)

Wow... I got exhausted just reading about all the exercises you do. :) You do a LOT more than I do. I'll bet you're feeling a lot better, and also sleeping a lot better with all of the exercise you're doing.

Your menu sounds really good/healthy too. :licklips: Keep it up and please keep us updated on your progress. :yippee:

Diane...
