Okay guys...I need your help. I need you to be my fitness buddies again.

I mentioned in a different post, that I did really well when we did the Special K Way, but now I can't seem to get started again.

I'm going to start today!

My road blocks: eating 3 meals a day (quite often I'm on the run and find myself eating those slimfast bars...are they okay)

:snacks....I like to grab a fast snack when I get home around 4:00.....I have to learn to grab a carrot stick or fruit

:exercise....I would love to exercise in the morning, but I don't have the time. I have to get into a routine of exercising at a certain time of the time.

See, I know what my faults are :\ , I just need to implent them.

Maybe you can tell me when you exercise, and what you guys are eating....HELP :(

Marla, the good news is that you don't have to have one formal exercise program a day. You can break it up into (2) 15 minute sessions. I rarely have time to do one large block of time, so I do abs/obliques and mini aerobics in my bedroom before I take a shower in the morning. Then while Im watching tv in the afternoon or evening, I get on the floor and do all my leg lifts, but blasters and arms. Somewhere in between, I turn on the radio and dance for 5-10 minutes or until I fill winded. They say breaking up your routine into mini sessions is actually better for you because it spikes your metabolism 2x's a day rather than one time. When I do one time a day, I tend to be a couch potato for the rest of the day and eat more. When I break it down, Im more active and don't give myself "rewards" for doing my workout. LOL

Back when I worked I did what Amy did. When I woke up I did 15 minutes of crunches, leg lifts, and weights. Then when I got home from work I would do 15-20 minutes of cardio work to some good tunes, then I would make dinner. Usually in the evening I would do some more stretching-yoga type stuff while I watched tv.
Now that I'm at home all day I usually exercise right after ds leaves for school. One of my biggest obstacles-excuses was feeling guilty for exercising when the kids were asking me to play. I'm over that now. :)

Marla, see my last posting under "It's about freakin' time" for the stuff that's been helping me. Be ready, though... it's a long post! Amy makes a good point, break it up throughout the day to make it easier on yourself!!!!

I'm there for ya!!!! Good luck!
